SAZ-1500D and w7

Recommended Posts

I have a 13w7 in a prowedge box. I am reading about the SAZ-1500D. I learned that either I can wire to run the sub at a 3ohm or .75ohm load. Is the SAZ-1500D able to handle that power, also what is the amp stable at? Any help/opinions would be appreciated. thanks!

Going to depend on your electrical.

@.75 ohms you are gonna be laying a beatdown on that sub, but i DO have a friend who ran his for 2 years on CK9.0's so i guess if done right they can take the abuse

if you can get your charging system up to par the amp will play @.75 ohms like a champ,

the amp if i remember correctly are warranted wait warrentied... anyway 1 ohm stable....

but have been tested and burped at half ohm and lower.

but at .75 you will have impedance rise plenty.

i played my saz 3000d at .75 daily never a problem

I've seen one used for more than a year on 2000w. Shouldn't be a problem if you're smart and listen for mechanical noises.

IC. I currently have a autotek 1000.1 rms mono amp. Going to save up for a better and more powerful amp. But I should be able to use this one for now wiring it in series right? Im currently running a 4gauge kicker kit.

The 1500D is a very strong amplifier. Personally I would wire it to 3ohms mono first and see how you like it.

Sounds like a great amp. I cant find any used for around my price range. So I think I might pick up this hifonics brutus 1500rms amp. You guys think this amp would do me good? Its a good deal so thats why I am getting it lol.

Probably not. In addition to being a pile of shoddy construction, the Brutus is going to have the same "issue" with driving a 3 ohm load, it's not going to produce all the power it can.

What's your price range? If you can wait a month, I might be selling a PG Tantrum 1200.1 for $300...unlike the Hifonics or the Sundown for that matter, it'll do 1.4kW between 2 and 4 ohms...

Not if the SAZ-1500D is out of your price range, there isn't. MMATS has amps that are designed to do max power into a 0.5 ohm load but they're more expensive than the Sundown.

is there a decent amp that is stable under 1 ohM? like .5ohm or so?

i do not know if you would like to consider it a decent amp, but i think they are great budget amps.

anyway lanzar opti 2000d. stable to .5 ohm, and they have been strapped doing just under 2000rms, at .5 ohms with around 13 + volts

yeah ive heard of that specific lanzar amp. I hear its easier to find a amp that is stable at 2ohms at like say 1200rms. Like the PG tantrum 1200.1

Pre-order price of the SAE-1200D is very nice. :)
