Why I Parted Ways With The Right

Opinion | Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 6:49:45 pm PST

1. Support for fascists, both in America (see: Pat Buchanan, Robert Stacy McCain, etc.) and in Europe (see: Vlaams Belang, BNP, SIOE, Pat Buchanan, etc.)

2. Support for bigotry, hatred, and white supremacism (see: Pat Buchanan, Ann Coulter, Robert Stacy McCain, Lew Rockwell, etc.)

3. Support for throwing women back into the Dark Ages, and general religious fanaticism (see: Operation Rescue, anti-abortion groups, James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Tony Perkins, the entire religious right, etc.)

4. Support for anti-science bad craziness (see: creationism, climate change denialism, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, James Inhofe, etc.)

5. Support for homophobic bigotry (see: Sarah Palin, Dobson, the entire religious right, etc.)

6. Support for anti-government lunacy (see: tea parties, militias, Fox News, Glenn Beck, etc.)

7. Support for conspiracy theories and hate speech (see: Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Birthers, creationists, climate deniers, etc.)

8. A right-wing blogosphere that is almost universally dominated by raging hate speech (see: Hot Air, Free Republic, Ace of Spades, etc.)

9. Anti-Islamic bigotry that goes far beyond simply criticizing radical Islam, into support for fascism, violence, and genocide (see: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, etc.)

10. Hatred for President Obama that goes far beyond simply criticizing his policies, into racism, hate speech, and bizarre conspiracy theories (see: witch doctor pictures, tea parties, Birthers, Michelle Malkin, Fox News, World Net Daily, Newsmax, and every other right wing source)

And much, much more. The American right wing has gone off the rails, into the bushes, and off the cliff.

I won’t be going over the cliff with them.

You can do one for the left to that includes:

MSNBC, Keith Olberman, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, hate speech,

following in Bush's foot steps, Rachel Maddow, more hate speech, left-wing blogosphere, arrogance, fiscal irresponsibility, distorted news, attacking mid to lower class Americans,

total government and endless expansion of it, anti-religious, classisism, bashing of any non-Democrat just because of their party, Acorn, anti-white ACLU, racists Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton,

support for failed policies, ignoring what we have learned from the past, electing a celebrity politician instead of someone who actually can fix the economy,

failed Stimulus 1 & 2 while talking about a 3rd, pushing for nearly socialized Health Care while ignoring the most important problems with the current health care system,

failed bank bail outs, failed cash for clunkers, excessive borrowing of money from China, ignoring the population on most every issue, supporting a massively corrupt white house admin many of whom have zero real world experience,

ignoring own party members congressional failures and mis-steps while attacking non-party members for infidelity, supporting illegal immigrant insurance coverage, and much much more.

The American left wing has gone off the rails and around the corner to score some more crack. I won't be getting high with them.

;)

Thanks Matt. My pans are copper and worth more than the rangetop so induction isn't an option. I have similar knob issues with my current Thermador, but wanted to see if there was anything else. Did a bunch of reading on the sealed vs open burners and it seems that for neat freaks the sealed are better as they can be wiped down easily after each use while the open are better if they are all cast so that you basically don't do shit unless you have a major spill over. Cast looks greasy when seasoned and so should my rangetop.

I do LOVE my dacor... if I wasn't such a freak, I would take it above anything else.

If you have a knob on top cook top, I don't think there is better. Maybe even from blue star or wolf. I like this one way more than I did those. I wanted knob on top when I purchased, as I am sure my wife would knock into the knobs if they came out from the counter.

I gotta stop taking these dumb bets with my room mates. I just did no shave November, and now I get to rock a molestache for a week. I don't see an girls in my coming week.

Did you cut your hair yet?

Nope still rocking the long hair.

That must be popular, my friend was just in a no shave thing last month at work. He got 2nd place I guess.

A lot of people ended up doing it around here. If I were to get any award, it'd be epic patches. I got a full beard minus the quarter size patches on each side of my face and under my chin.

if you made that up on spot denim, very nice.

Just essentially posted the left-wing hypocrisy. I long ago knew I would not fit under Liberal or Democrat, and would not fit under "Conservative" or Republican. The painful thing of it all is that each party is getting farther and farther away from the middle where the majority of the public is. They fail to realize not everyone out there is a gun toting/rusty pick up truck driving/uneducated/war loving hillbilly, or an upper west side/hyper rich/totally tolerant/kum ba yah hippie. Meaning there are people outside Manhattan high rises/Oregon mountains and West VA back woods/Georgia.

I'm gonna put a gun rack in the back of my S600 some day.

That's my idea of bi-partisanship.

Your not the only one.

I get mutton chops, full neck, a shitty stach and chin hair. No sides of the lips to about 2 fingers wide to the mutton chops.

And it grows slow as hell

Just found out my wife won Cook of the Quarter for out DFAC!!!!!!!!!!

While actual cooking is not part of the competition (thank God) knowledge of it is huge.

She also has shoulder surgery Friday, so for her this is a good week!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To expand on that from my perspective, I am very educated but against government expansion/no-child left behind. I support defense spending but be fiscally responsible. I can be a father and support a certain type of abortion (rape, disease, etc.). I can be for guns but never own one. I can be Jewish but despise organized religion. I have been a government employee and support the reduction of the size and reach of it. I am very green conscious but never feel the need to tell people how to shape their habits. etc. etc. etc.

I like your thoughts Aaron.

Only diff is I am getting my weapon(s) and I am not Jewish.

Wow been a week since I've been in here.

A lady friend and I were in sharing mode yesterday and she told me she had been raped three years ago. God dammit that's 3 girls I know of now, 5 if you count the girl that lived a couple doors down from me last year that got raped while we lived there and one that did in my dorm freshman year, though I never met either. Fucking rapists.

You are obviously a listener. Get ready for every woman you meet to tell you something that you aren't really sure you wanted to know.

Ha, that I am. When you grow up with a stutter, you listen instead of talk.

And sorry to say you are going to meet many more like that one. Super frustrating to see how the world treats each other, but you should be able to use your gift to get what you need in bed. :)

My whole family has Dacor, but they've treated my mother like shit so I won't buy one. I have the opposite need from you, I want my knobs not on the top as I hate cleaning around them. :P
