Anyone ever watch the show Renovation Realities on DIY? I can't believe how stupid people can be. "Oh yeah, I can build that. What's a screwdriver?"

sounds like a good show.

I've had grad students say they could mix 5ft^3 of concrete better by hand with a hoe then the mixer could....

I despise mixing concrete by hand:(

Stopped at O'reilly to borrow the code reader since the CEL is on in the truck.

Misfire on cyl 3. Asked the guy which one was cylinder 3 on an LS, no one there had any idea

2nd one from the front, driver's side

Thanks, figured they counted differently than what I was used to. Time to pull the plug.

all SBCs are odd numbers on the drivers side, even on the passengers, counting from the front

if it hasn't been done, plugs/wires would probably be a good idea

Hasn't been done, but being for sale it might just get one plug. Could be a mucky injector I suppose, haven't bothered to look or worry about it as it is pretty intermiddent.

Hmm, mucky injector = time for an italian tune-up ? :P

Italian tune up? Isn't that a rebuild?

It's not a rebuild :

heh, had not heard that term before

Although if things go right I may be getting into materials testing more and more.

Good money in that too, in particular if you look at it from an understanding point of view.

I had applied for a job with Terracon for materials testing, mainly concrete at new building sites. But they were only paying like $13 an hour. I thought that was ridiculous.

Neither have I. I thought he was simply referring to the fact that he should just buy the Pantera.

That was one of the best games I have seen in a while. Not to mention, it was a fairly well ref'ed game. No refs getting their back pockets stuffed by Brady or all of Pittsburgh.

we are fair in the giant marshmallow

I understand that, just so used to a slanted called and played game against the likes of the Squeelers and the Pats that yesterday was such a rare occasion. REALLY really sad that it is the exception.

Was at a plant doing isothermal forging last Thursday, that also was really cool.

Ever see them refuel a nuclear reactor? That's what they're doing here right now; refueling and maintenance

Will be nice when they get the two new reactors in, then my parents can sell this house and retire up by the rest of our family...

I'll be at Sandia National labs today and tomorrow and Los Alamos on Wednesday. The home of the nukes.

I'd never heard the term before, but considering how reliable Itlaian cars are I thought my guess was appropriate.

Where is best to get plane tickets?

Depends on from what airline, but using sidestep/kayak is the easiest to narrow things down. Note as all, they don't do SWest, JetBlue etc...

Looks like it will be 200-250 round trip to Maryland. Doesn't seem to bad to me

yep, I said Maryland, Aaron. :) Will you be around in May of 2010?

Should be. :)

I should be there for 5 days or so. I'll make sure I leave some time open for an SSA meet lol

Unless there are people around that I don't know about, the MD SSA meet would be Me and Maxie so far. ;)

kader sorry to hear about Exxon.

Up until a few years ago I had got every single job I truely applied for other than one that I was not qualified for in truth.

Chase something that is important to you and again, set goals. Things will work out then.

<-- has never applied for a job I haven't gotten.

Which is exactly why I should go apply for something new, only to shoot the moon. Someone encourage me.

Double dog dare you.

Find one for me to apply to :P

General Dynamics, Dell and Lockheed are looking for senior positions to fill down here in TX :lol2:

know if they're looking for any entry level positions?:D

i think my uncle works for lokheed martin here in MN

Making cylinders and flexural beams just isn't all that fun...
