I would normally opt for a deisel v10, but I remember about every VW me or a friends owned new model or old is that they were epically problematic and retardedly through the roof pricey to fix unless you took them to a sport tuner. And had constant electrical issues.

I loved my vw so much. I had emotional conection to my jetta as gay as that sounds , but it was a NONSTOP burden with things fizzling out.

Hadn't heard that in particular about the V10. VW Certified isn't as nice as Porsche's either :(

red pantera is sexy!

=)

I thought u said no more red vehicles.

I think a Pantera will scream pull me over in any color so I thought maybe red was okay. Black is probably what I'll hold out for. In particular with an old car if the black paint looks good, I won't be as concerned about body rot as it is damn hard to get a black car to look good.

when I came in tonight my wife was watching the first TMNT.

I laughed at her and then she proceded to explain that she knows the movie by heart because her little brother would watch it until the tape(VHS is a magnetic tape we used to watch movies from, for you young people) wore out.

She then proceded to prove it and can recite nearly every line.

I'm turned on. I love geeky women.

:)

TMNT?

teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Sean I can't believe you don't know TMNT! Awesome show and movies. There are those shows you watch as a kid that look totally retarded when you grow up, but TMNT isn't one of them. I think I could watch it when I'm 60.

Well before the shows and the movies there was the role playing game. Real familiar with that.

<-- has been to 3-5 movies in the past 10 years

<-- probably watched 5/yr on tv

<-- doesn't like any sort of pop culture as IMO it all sucks

*doesn't mean I am not open to things others find amusing, as long as I respect those others.

Well I'm finally back. Flew to Minneapolis last Friday morning, helped my bro and sis-in-law pack the moving truck (man did everything BARELY fit, as it always does, right?), drove 18 hours to Fort Collins on Saturday, unloaded at 2am that night in 25*. My brother is a slave driver. But actually it wasn't that bad, and I was more awake after moving it all in at 3am than I had been all day. Sunday flew back from Denver to KC.

Then Monday morning had to drive 5 hours to BFE in south central/west KS to do some drilling for work. Stayed there until yesterday and drove back home last night. Man it gets boring in a one horse town in a hotel room by yourself. But I have today off because of the long days we put in. It misted on us all tuesday and wednesday, and was only about 40-45* all day. Luckily it was just barely warm enough and not rainy enough to not be miserable. Standing outside all day in rain and cold can be the worst. I was wearing three shirts under my jacket plus shorts under my jeans. But then yesterday it got real nice and halfway through the morning I could even take off my jacket and just be in my one tshirt. It was about 55-60*. That was a nice way to end it.

We passed a cow in the ditch just outside the town on the way down there on Monday, and she was still in the ditch when we came back on Thursday. What a terrible farmer. Doesn't even check on his cows in three days? Hopefully she doesn't dehydrate or get hit by a car at night or something.

I think that big TDI would be better built. When it came to their track record there was a difference in place of manufacture. Most were cheep labor ie mexico.

If the toureg tdi is german made, I would put mountains more faith in it.

for me I'm once bitten. If I got another vw I would just walk into it knowing I may have costs for maintenance.

one hell of a trip KU!

while driving to oregon from MN a tire blew on the uhaul.

Next time going from orlando to MN we stopped planning to crash in the u haul in tx before driving the rest of the way home since it would be warm there.

It was sub zero right on the border when we stopped....

those trips are always tough. your a hell of a guy to help them all out so much!

have you put them up for sale yet?

I would just love a bigger budget. =)

that's a perpetual itch however. I think right now if I could have any car though reguardless of price and I could only pick one car it would be a tie between the current benz s65 the previous body style e63 or a fully tuned and loaded 996 turbo S.

The current C63 comming in close too, I dont know it I fit though.

As for 996 reliability, I find page after page or engine failure and it happens around 50K, but doesn't seam to happen to the turbos. I love the cayman too and would wait for price to drop there but I do not fit. period. I cannot make it ok to be inside one without modding the body.

snow if fun if you have a hill and a plank or if you have a snowmobile

Even a tray from a food service hall will work, but a snowmobile is preferred.

forget the snow; all you really need is a mop bucket and a steep hill

ahhhh, summer camp, fun

ugh it needs to be warmer so that I can run outside. It's 47*, perhaps warm enough to run. I hate treadmills and pretty much refuse to run on them. What am I going to do for cardio all winter?
