You did notice I have a Texas Rig rod right? 90% of the time it has a T.Rig on it, sometimes I use it for Jigworms or Slug-go's but I love TRigs.

the guy that hit me got charged with a dui based on when they picked him up the next day..... and i got a subpoena as a witness

he's going to go scott free and i'm going to get fucked by my insurance company....awesome

Didn't he have insurance? If it was a dui it is obviously his fault no matter what.

That's what I was thinking too.

Matt, I remember you taking some pictures of it a while ago, if you show those to the appraiser so they can see the good condition and any mods/upgrades you did, would that help?

finally found his insurance and the claim has been submitted to them by my insurance but I'm hoping to talk to his insurance on monday.

The best part is the truck wasn't even his and the insurance isn't his either.

What i've done so far is compiling raw info. cars.com/vehix.com/autotrader.com/carmax.com all together searching <200mile radius 06 or newer limited xfire with an auto trans I yield 5 cars, 15k-21k if my memory serves and the average price was somewhere around $18.5 which is higher than any blue book. I have roughly $2500 worth of addons not counting actual stereo equipment because I'd rather just keep the shit and not fool with it but that may change as well.

and my insurance company swore they couldn't do more than $14,400

Nope, that was very adequate! You'll have to let us know if they help you catch more fish.

I only have one pole with an open spinner reel :( . But I'm also still a novice, I still have yet to buy my first baitcaster reel. I also don't fish as many different habitats as you. For me it's pretty much just off the shore into either grassy/mossy or silty bottoms. I usually do most of my damage with spinnerbaits, maybe my rod/reel combo is the reason I don't get other baits to work very well? Of course it could also be my technique, I'm still learning the tricks with all of them.

4 major ways to fish spinnerbaits.

1) Rip them back fast enough they make a wake

2) Drop them to a depth (count down) and reel in evenly

3) Slow roll them across the bottom

4) Yo-yo fish them

Super versatile and amazingly weedless. And yes the new rods help me catch more :)

I usually vary my retrieve every couple of casts between moderately slow reel, fast reel, and start/stop reel. If the fish are going to bite at all that day (regardless of bait), I'll usually at least get a bite with one of those strategies. so I usually start my fishing with spinners and end with spinners, and just try different things in between. There have been numerous times where I've fished most of the day without luck but switched back to spinners as I was walking back to the car and caught something(s).

What differences would a good texas rig rod have than a wacky rod?

In your state does the accident go to his personal car insurance or the insurance of the actual car in the accident? Here in kansas it goes to the car in the accident. So whoever he "borrowed" the truck from would be the one on the hook. I hate that. Happened to us when a friend of my brother's rolled our dad's truck into a car at the end of the driveway. My brother asked him to just move it down the driveway a little so he just hopped in, turned the key on (not the engine), put it into neutral, and let it roll down the driveway. Well, he didn't realize the brakes wouldn't work as well or at least the pedal would be stiffer. He is chinese and a terrible driver. Anyway, he couldn't stop it and ran it into like a 50s-something dodge that a guy had remodeled. And the cost went to our dad even though he was 300 miles away when it happened.

Well hopefully his insurance company is a little better with the price. What insurance company do you have that wouldn't pay a decent price? Also, I guess depending on your insurance company, I wouldn't bet much on getting anything for the stereo. I'm not sure what you had in there, but when mine was broken into and stolen they only paid for "factory location" parts. so subs, amplifiers, EQs, etc., don't count. So I say if you can salvage it, do.

Looks like Tiger Tiger Woods yall is going to be testing his streak of never losing a major after leading after 3 rounds when he dons the red shirt tomorrow.

Depends on the cover and where you are throwing the rig. I fish TRigs with a bait caster and usually fish wacky's with a spinning rod, unless I am in clear water chasing smallies.

Chaska was nuts earlier today. Funny watching the Good Year blimp fly around in particular since it was 50 miles away when I thought it would be right over the course.

my clause states that they will pay for any permanent modification to the car (non radio/electronics), they have a $1k limit for any audio in non-factory locations (don't care, already got it all back out). What i'm hoping is that this means they'll pay to cover the dampener and absorption and stuff like that, but that's why i need to talk to a lawyer. This should definitely include the tvt265 kit as well ($1450)

My insurance company until september 19th or something like that is progressive, i will have another company after that, this has been absolutely awful through them. At this point I know that it is the other guy's insurance that is being hassled by my insurance (the 3rd party that is innocent). I'm not sure now if i keep fighting with my company or talk to the other one, so many questions so little info.

I will NOT be keeping progressive, and unless your agent is the polar opposite of the two people i've talked to, i'd switch if i were you as well.

#1, argued that a base model is a reasonable replacement ("it has power windows, power door locks")

#2, Of kbb, nada, and edmunds, she took the lowest value and would not hear about the others

#3, when I told her my car was immaculate she actually laughed at me and asked if i knew that only 5% of vehicles on the road classify within this category

That is a rather abbreviated description, if you want any further info just ask :)

You have some Awesome fishing equipment!!

Thanks. A lot of time, thought, "training", and effort went into figuring out exactly what I wanted.

If you don't mine, what would you recommend for flyfishing. This is something I have been thinking about doing.

Budget? Fishing location? Species? Do you know what sort of baits you'd throw?

*what works here may not be your choices ;)

I am looking for a decent set up. Maybe under $200, but I don't want to waste money on junk. As for fish trout and bass are pretty common here in central pa.

Trout and bass require flies that are way different in size. Depending on your stream size and fish for trout you'd be looking at a 4-6wt rod and for bass between a 7-10wt. They aren't really scalable like normal tackle either as the line determines how large of a fly you can throw.

What sort of water would you fish?

Shit, I have Progressive.

damn, me too. Just switched to them from Farmers about 8 months ago. But it did nearly cut my premium in half, from 450 to 250 every 6 months, and with a car only worth 4k I'm not sure I care. I'll probably have saved any money they try to rip off of my reimbursement from smaller premiums.

But if/when I buy a more expensive car it seems to be worth it to shop around.
