Intel Core 2 Quad/AMD Phenom II something or other with a shit load of RAM is probably at a more reasonable price point....but then again reasonable price point is in the eye of the beerholder.

I am not counting in 20's, but 100's. Thresholds are meant to be logical but stretched.

the new i7 is/will be the bee's knees.

there will be no front side buss with the right MoBo.

that's pretty win.

I only like it curried. At least in the 3 times I have had it, curry was the only that I enjoyed. However... you could put the right kind of curry on on a bowl of festering gerbil cadavers and I could possibly enjoy that as well.

this is true. I used to read clinical trials for fun when I was younger. I wanted to be a biochemist when I was in HS. Hormones and the seratonin/dopamine use in the body. It's so amazing how we still don't fucking know a thing about the real reactions that go on inside. Amazing to me.

I think that's kinda cool though. It adds to the mystique of our bodies, and is good for humbling us by keeping something we don't understand. Nature just does a lot of cool things. Once we understand them all, then where do we go?

Once we understand, we can improve, or make commitments to fixing the atrocoties of biology. The body and it's interaction is beautiful though you are correct.

But would we really want to "improve?" I mean this is a personal philosophical question to all of us and I'm sure we all have different answers, and I'm not going to argue with any that you say. But to me, I wouldn't want to mess with us that much. I mean diseases and cancer are terrible if they affect us or those close to us, but if you step back and look at humans from an outside perspective, as we normally look at jackrabbits or something, it's nature's population control. I wouldn't want to think what the world would be like if nobody died until they were 200 years old after we began engineering ourselves. I guess I'm just a natural kind of guy.

goes to Newegg for the 10th time today...oh wait I still have a window open, but it is to boring pci-rs232 cards. I need a few ports which are like $15 and am sitting here trying to decide if I should just upgrade my pc while I am at it.

They have that at Lamar where kids do there last 2 years of high school living at the college. But the kids are normally weird and miss out on prom, etc... which I think really sucks since Senior year of high school was an extremely bad ass year for me.

I went to three proms my senior year

x2

I went to 0. :(. Actually I'm not really that sad about it, I didn't and still don't like dances.

Anyone have their appendix removed? If so, how long do I have to wait to bust a nut?

What size fuse do you have??

Really, I would say wait a week or 2 for a BJ where you don't move. 3-4 weeks before you do any of the work.

The man hammer is attached to the abdomen inside, so just be carefull.

Ha I laughed twice. I'm not sure I would want to be so personal with him that I knew the size of his fuse. haha.

since we're on the subject of hormones, atomoxetine is a wonderful drug....

good old modonofil, or aderol I say!

heart palpitations ftl

Spelling > me.....

Eh.... what dose? I have virtualy no side effects from stimulants really. I'm "lucky" in that way?

Depressants or more precisely antidepressants that work as depressants make me retarded on the smallest dose.

When we meet, I'll have to give you an antidepressant as that sounds like fun to watch.

Haha it sure does. Take a video camera for the benefit of the rest of us.

Speaking of kids, one of the women in the dept. is leaving so there was cake and what not for her yesterday. She had her kid in there, she was probably 8 yr old or something, and she started hitting her mom's arm. Her mom said stop, that is going to start hurting.

Straight out of the kids mouth.

"Tell me when it hurts so I know how hard to hit my boyfriend for cheating on me"

My jaw just dropped, I tried not to bust up laughing to much....

Oh my god that's hilarious, but in a sad sort of way.

It's never too late. Frustrating though as intelligence is obviously something you don't lack.

My mother got her Master's Degree after she turned 65.

That's awesome for your mom.

I'm not so brilliant really, I just test well and have the ability to suss out what questions really are asking, not what the appear to be asking. HS is way different from college though, so It will probably happen this year or next. My wife is out searching for jobs that will pay her for the degree she has which should put her in the 45K+ per year realm. If that happens I might drop my hours and go to school full time or perhaps more than full time.

I don't want to be greedy, but this 30-40K a year isn't working for me. I do great and the wife could quit working if I make 65-75, and we would be set for retirement too. I'm just so tired on hating my work

Don't sell yourself short. Really. The rest of the world is dumber than the credit you are giving them and you have more than one step up. Way more.

Yeah, the stupidity in the world really is surprising. And stupid people breed faster, which is bad for everybody really.

OSHA should re-instate natural selection, it would help the whole world.

I love my job.

Something breaks, I fix it. I get bitched at for spending money to fix it. So I find more things that are broken and need repair, but don't repair them because I'll get in trouble for spending money to repair them, yet I get in more trouble because I supposedly do not have enough work orders put in to justify my job, but I'm told not to put them in because we can't spend money to fix what is broken, but one guy comes in and sees the broken stuff and now I can spend money for repairs that we can't spend, but have to spend, but told not to spend, and then get bitched at whether it's spent or not.

MY job is like living with a woman. I truly have NO escape.

I literally saw the beginning to joke today.

A mexican, a white guy, and a black guy were all standing on rickety wooden ladders with pole saws. . . .

i don't know about which are the newest socket styles but i used 775 with the sis's actually here's the rundown

GIGABYTE GA-G33M-S2L LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - absolutely loved this board for $95, though if I was building it again I'd probably spend more here. The gigabyte was flawless in function and decent overclocking abilities. The down side was "only" 8gig of ram supported (4x2gig) and apparently it can be finicky with the quad core processors.

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ - this is the ram i used, absolutely fantastic for the limited time i used it, even put this ram in my niece's comp because I liked it so much and hers is still running fine. ($170 total)

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E8400 - went with a dual-core as I wasn't impressed with the performance/$ of the quad cores, they were too new at the time and haven't checked the pricing lately. ($195)

EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - i would hump this card....that is all ($150)

that's just a rundown for example, i ran call of duty 4 on her setup and it never ever gave me any issues, i still miss that damn computer actually, it ran cold as fuck too.

btw the missing $$ from the $1200 to make her computer was all the accessories that she wanted as well as a full OS which i got lucky and got for cheap cheap

Pay for OS? Anyone know how many pc's you can put XP on and still have it be "verified"?

NVM, I am apparently retahded.
