Just requested my free CD copy of Ubuntu.

<-- has no idea what that is

Type of Linux OS.

Doh, heard of it as well but I guess I just "settled" on a Windows program to run my HA which means no other operating systems will be playing in my house.

pork tenderloin turned out great

For some reason I can not stop thinking of different projects for the summer. So far

in the wood working category

New Desk - the more I think about it the more expensive it gets.

"Entertainment center" - For the up stairs where the BIB's will be located this summer. Want to get the Adcoms' off the ground and have a place for the media computer and a 19" flat screen monitor

Living Room Entertainment center- hopefully the upstairs one will get the rents off there ass for the one in the living room. I'm tired of the damn 50" LG sitting on top of the old 50" Projection mitsu.

In the motor category

Modding the 400 Sportsman - Would love to drop a 500 in it but I think that is too much $$$ want to atleast getting the 400 running good and strong and put a lift, some 27's under it and a snorkel

Build a minibike - I've got a 5hp tecumseh laying around that has been asking to be a part of a mini bike. my neighbor has an old mini-bike that I might buy and make a good frame for it. dunno yet.

Audio-

ATV System - Want to be able to Jam on the ATV. I would use the DLS R6A's passive w/ 2 tangband 6.5" subs and an old radios shack amp for it just haven't got around to it since I have to fiberglass a box up

Carputer - Would be a big project with lots of custom work but sooo much fun

3 Way active - Self explanitory, doubt I'll have the finds too pull it off this summer.....

There's this guy on a forum selling an intake for $800 shipped. I told him, no thanks. He asks me to make an offer, so I offer him $400. He then gets mad and tells me it costs $1300, so I proceed to tell him the manufacturer is selling it direct on their site, brand new for $799. DUH!

my old house was, where i live now is probably the safest property from storms, fires, earthquakes etc in the county. i did have to shelter some evacuees friday night, that wasn't too fun.

Hmm, stick more money in stocks and mutual funds now? Even though the markets have risen a lot in the last month, they're still barely over half what the peak was last summer (though I discount some of that peak because it was an inflated bubble. When I check for undervalued stocks, I look at 2006, early 2007 prices). All I ever hear is people scared of stocks right now, but why? The stock market isn't going to stay here forever. Just look at all of the previous recessions. I don't really have anything to pay for for at least another 10 months.

I have to start investing this summer. Stupid school, got in my way of doing anything. I just have no clue what to invest in.

i sort of think the stock market wont restore itself fully

with all the companys biting the dust, and jobs being moved out of the country i believe the US still has some tough times still to come.

If I would have invested in the stocks I had look at a while back I would have already tripled my money.

Invest now, and invest LONG TERM.

sitck with companies that are huge and you will probbably be fine. Or go mutual funds. IRA traditional or roth are the right way to go if your company does not have 401/k or 403/b

I wish I would have purchased about 30K in Citi when it was 97 cents

The market is artificially up. Spending money we don't have will do that.
