It is cone and basket treatment. Now I don't know how much the cone does, but I can't recall seeing any threads on forums about how it doesn't work. The 85k does need some basket work done to it from the factory in my opinion, when I get time I am taking my dash back apart to do some to mine too.

As I can see they are using some sort of modelling clay on the basket. Is that what you were thinking of doing for treatment ?

Probably yes, but wasn't sure how well modeling clay would hold up in the heat they are exposed to in the dash. Possibly sound damping material (most likely some second skin brand). But what Dave (planet10) uses is a hardening paste that he shapes if I remember correctly.

I played in the weekend with some material almost like modelling clay, non-hardening and it is designed for in-car use.

As soon as I'm done with school I'm buying a can to have when I re-work my doors. If you want, I can send some material your way :)

I would be interested in that. :)

PBR pounders should not be $5, hell nothing in a can outside of a Surly should be.

surly

I need some of that. Thank you for mentioning it. That is one of my favorite I-had-a-shitty-day-babe,-leave-me-alone-in-the-basement beers.

for most vehicles.. i need to get a whole new glass piece my lights are GAY

note getting a new complete light housing is the proper way to go.

the pop and play method, most of the time blinds other drivers, because the light is not focused correctly

I'm working on getting some more proper housings. But for now I ride with the dims on, which are still Halogen.

It's strange but I love it!! The one bulb "base" has the HID and a Halogen on it. The Halogen is till brighter then my old ones but are focused fine.

Its also dumb to have HID's in your high beams unless you run them for extended periods of time with out shutting them off. It isn't good to "flash" HID bulbs or kick them off and on for oncoming traffic.

and for goodness sake I wish someone would start make descent aftermarket projectors so people will stop abusing the HID's...

I could give the same damn rant about diet coke. WTF? Coke generically speaking is sugar, nothing diet about it. If you want some fake ass crap that rots your stomach, kills your teeth, and is generally just terrible for you go ahead.

HERE HERE!

If a beer tastes so bad you need to put something in it, perhaps you shouldn't drink it in the first place.

Thoughts on Stella Artois? I had that when I went to Canada for New Years, and I really liked that stuff.

I like it when I can afford it.

Just out of curiosity, does SSA have a Moderator only section of the forum? I know most places do and they are visible just not accessible.

A moderator section and one other.

So anyone know if I could get a small 3 to 5 speed gear box that would work well with a 10hp briggs and stratton engine?

We are using this engine for the mini baja (have to use it) and it is governed down to 3500 RPMs or so. Most common use is a CVT but we were thinking of changing it up.

Stella is regularly just as cheap here as domestic shit beers.

Maybe it is just this area, some of my fav's are priced up due to their location of origin I believe, Sapparro, Stella, Tsing Tao, etc. :(

Fixed your Bold.

At the liquor store it is more here, just in bars they almost consider it a domestic. Cheaper than some of the local micro-domestics as well which makes no sense.

It was around much more so when I lived closer to the city, but since we have moved out to hazzard county, things are a little different.

Sort of defeats the purpose then now doesn't it. If you spent that money to "look cool" I really don't get it. :(

I didn't buy them to look cool, I bought them for me. I usually end up on a country road all alone in complete darkness, which is when I use them. Alone on roads........... and when people have theirs brights on and won't turn them off. :angry22:

thats not their high beams its there HIDs :peepwall:
