9 millimeter

it's like asking a guy what kind of subs he has and hearing "fiteens"

I must be weird then. I always say millimeter instead of em em

i think you completely missed the point of my post, a 9mm is not a gun, it's a measurement to be specific, but i'd be way more ok with it being used to reference a bullet or cartridge(9x19 luger, parabellum, nato, etc) just like a "fiteen" is not a subwoofer, its the diameter of the sub. and that someone who refers to their gun by their bullet is not a gun person.

just like ryan2 was saying, the whole damn point of concealed carrying is so that people don't know you carry. I personally would never carry if people knew i was.

Interesting. I walk around asuming everyone I see is carying. Helps to gauge what may and may not be worth it.

No offence to your friend, when the guy was bragging about his gun, or maybe imaginary gun... do you think he felt your lady friend wouldn't understand if he told her a type of gun. I only know one woman who knows when I tell her to go get me the 1911. I married her and trained her well.

;)

I'm not knocking your car, i'm just saying the SRT is extremely fast for a stock car, and you shouldn't be able to touch it if yours is stock.

You've obviously never ridden in an Eaton'd 3.8 MN12. They are nasty down low. Run out of steam pretty quickly though.

never have but the srt6 weighs less has way more HP and only about 20ft lbs less torque (curves not taken into account) so i can't imagine how they'd even come close on the highway.

HP and torque are nothing but numbers by themselves. They tell you nothing without factoring in the gear ratios of the tranny/rearend, shift points, stall speeds, etc. . .

My old Cobra has less HP and torque than an LS1 F-body and was heavier, but I would kill them out of the hole. Top end was another story, and that's where the powerband is on the 4.6 4V.

While i get what you're trying to say, are you willing to stand behind the statement that you think the thunderbird had a chance in the mentioned race?

I never said the T-bird had a chance in the race. I was simply stating they get going very well which is why he was able to hang with him at all.

for most vehicles.. i need to get a whole new glass piece my lights are GAY

note getting a new complete light housing is the proper way to go.

the pop and play method, most of the time blinds other drivers, because the light is not focused correctly

I'm working on getting some more proper housings. But for now I ride with the dims on, which are still Halogen.

It's strange but I love it!! The one bulb "base" has the HID and a Halogen on it. The Halogen is till brighter then my old ones but are focused fine.

Sort of defeats the purpose then now doesn't it. If you spent that money to "look cool" I really don't get it. :(

I would say high beams for off road use only then, but, then why not just get off road lights?

If a beer tastes so bad you need to put something in it, perhaps you shouldn't drink it in the first place.

You know what pisses me off?

PBR, WTF!

It's a trendy beer now. I don't get it at all...

I'd rather drink a PBR than a lot of things. It actually tastes like beer. The trend I don't understand are all the no carb beers. Umm, beer is basically carbs if you don't want a beer fucking don't drink one. Mich Ultra, Bud Select *pukes*

In a race around the track, or from a dead stop, or a top speed challenge, no. Not at all. My car has a sweet spot, almost like a power band on a 2 stroke, from 60-85.

I could give the same damn rant about diet coke. WTF? Coke generically speaking is sugar, nothing diet about it. If you want some fake ass crap that rots your stomach, kills your teeth, and is generally just terrible for you go ahead.

It is cone and basket treatment. Now I don't know how much the cone does, but I can't recall seeing any threads on forums about how it doesn't work. The 85k does need some basket work done to it from the factory in my opinion, when I get time I am taking my dash back apart to do some to mine too.

As I can see they are using some sort of modelling clay on the basket. Is that what you were thinking of doing for treatment ?

Probably yes, but wasn't sure how well modeling clay would hold up in the heat they are exposed to in the dash. Possibly sound damping material (most likely some second skin brand). But what Dave (planet10) uses is a hardening paste that he shapes if I remember correctly.

Thoughts on Stella Artois? I had that when I went to Canada for New Years, and I really liked that stuff.

Sean, do you have any albums of your car? I am in love with it and would really like to see some pictures! (I'm a whore for red paint and class.)

Agreed. I'm just mad that PBR costs so much at the bars.

Can you do a mass upload for photos on here? Like instead of having to do each picture individually can I upload my build log folder?

Just out of curiosity, does SSA have a Moderator only section of the forum? I know most places do and they are visible just not accessible.

well i did consider that, but the fact that he was talking about carrying it seals the idiot deal for me. (and no offense taken, i'd never try to refer to a guy by a model number to a girl, or most guys)
