Stone source in plymouth. Wifes cousin got a decent price there. We are really trying to not have the extremely black type granite. Something with a broader pallet to pick up on the colors from.

I don't need it fron india either. It was just one of the 2 we liked, and probably only because the 2 larger pre cut peices has some amazing natural paterns in it.

We were fans of things with at least 2 colors, staying away from yellow type stone. Veins > Speckles. That site is great for looking at styles.

The wife wants this now that she saw that site.

Whoa... Not sure what a huge countertop would look like in that though. Trippy.

Awesome none the less though.

Have to replace the water pump on a '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ the 4.0L I6 this afternoon, getting paid 20$ an hour though for my time. :)

Definitely. Speckled granite just makes your kitchen look like one gigantic bass boat...

Not so sure I'd go that extreme in a kitchen, bathroom sure but that is a hell of a lot of stuff going on for a kitchen.

She said the exact same. Wants end tables covered in it.

That would be amazing! Sounds like something you actually find in some houses way up in Northern MN trailor country.

Yep, I normally do mechanic work for beer and dinner and what not but yea... I work cheap for people I like. Plus he always throws me extra money as an inconvenience payment.

They are huge too, not sure if it will save you money but worth a shot. Cold Spring is really small and their market has to be well beyond St. Cloud.

Just to appease the Penguin on what my family is involved in, I will let you know that my wives grandparents live in Cold Spring.

I thought about slate as well, also black quartz but any sort of pattern sort of clashes with the granite. Travertine would have less patterns, but I also want to make it easy to clean meaning clean cuts, small grout lines, and no pores to collect crap.
