HA!

I do that.

This is my new cooktop.

http://www.dacor.com/Our-Products/Cooktops...s-Cooktops.aspx

Not as fancy, but it will really work with what we needed.

My brother (who is a chef) and my mother (who paid for all our family vacations by winning cooking contests) both use Dacors. They are the Rangetop style and not cooktop to get that extra burner and not have the controls up top where they are hard to clean, but very similar. Definitely works well. I might say that is fancier than what I am putting in as the Bluestar is industrial first and foremost and fancy not so much.

that makes me feel good about that then. I didn't want the knobs on the front. Let me rephrase, I would like it, but in the kitchen design I have, it won't work so well.

Every project I have I have had to scale back from the industrial/comercial styles I have wanted to get. Kitchen HT everything. It's not money, it's really that the house we purchased isn't work dumping huge money into. We will never get out of it what we put in. I'm positive I will be happy anyway. Like yourself I excell in excess.

Thank's for the over tip. I think mine is an older Whirlpool. It was from my old house. No reason to replace. It's big enough. If I did upgrade I would do a double oven.

Maybe use should have been have.

Warning on the Dacor ovens though as they aren't really good at keeping temperature consistently.

use should have been?

Previous post I said my mother and brother use Dacor, meant to say they have Dacor.

My mom loves her new Samsung dishwasher. Heavy as fuck (took me and my dad just to pick it up) and quiet as a mouse fart. And it makes really cutesy noises :lol2:

I need something that holds my plates. I bought huge food service style plates that are microwave, oven, dishwasher safe but they don't fit in many machines.

depending on how big.... my ASKO has tons of room. Also near silent. Mine was light as a feather though really.

These are even bigger.

I was more amazed at how quiet our new washing machine is. Fisher Paykel

most recent UGV pics:

Pieces look awful heavy. Don't you need something lighter? At least you don't have to worry about them breaking. :fing34:

yeah.... they were designed for infinite life, which may have been a mistake on our part

they should be ~11lbs each, without bearings

Part of the reason I am excited to sell the M5. It pays for my kitchen remodel.

Bluestar range

Not sure on which ovens I want, the Wolf probably cooks the best but I am skeptical on reliability and whether it is worth the extra $$. The Bosch & Thermador are nearly identical (made in same plant) but have some different features. Again not sure if the Thermador is worth the extra. All 3 have great convection though.

Wolf

Bosch

Thermador

I still have to pick a dishwasher and washer/dryer as well.

I mentioned it all seperately completely missing this post but...

I like the wolf, but I have not used bosch or thermador. I would trust any of the 3, Wolf has a premium though.

As for dish washer. I commented before, my ASKO kicks butt. Really cleans well and looks the part. Mine is all black which normaly I think is wierd looking for a kitchen but it's amazingly clean and quiet.

I doubt I will ever look at another washing machine other than fisher paykal. I'm really impressed with how quiet it is, how clean it gets my clothes, it has direct drive and is top loading. Amazingly effecient too.

The hood I'll get wholesale, the Bluestar at retail, the ovens at retail. The price point leans me towards the Bosch for that reason...in particular since my boss is best friends one of the real high-ups at Bosch which could yield me wholesale on all Bosch stuff as well. The Bluestar is cheaper than Viking or Wolf, but superior in every aspect other than looks which of course is the main reason that people buy commercial like ranges.

One other side, I have found open burners to be hotter than sealed even at the same BTU's. Heat flow is superior so I expect those 22k ones to really fuckin' rip.

Excuse me while I cook dinner on one burner and harden and temper a new set of kitchen knives on the other one...

You really feel that? I was totally unhappy with my last front loader. Whirlpool I beleive. It may have just been other things that ticked me off about it, but I never felt it did the job.

I like the ease of use of an elivated front loader, but considering how simple the machine I have is now and how powfull it is, I'm happy. It's no beauty contest winner though....
