No, Sean is not like the ca.com moderators. He actually gives a shit about things, knows what he is talking about, and will help you if you ask an intelligent question rather than post one word replies.

kind of hard to look for used head units if I don't even know what model numbers I'm supposed to look for.

*smacks self for not doing this in the first place and continues searching*

i can tell that he knows alot about car audio..ill give him that but he can come off as a dick to some of the newer members..i have really noticed this the past few days and its getting under my skin...i understand that patience can sometimes grow thin but people WILL ALWAYS post dumb threads but still should not be treated like chit because of it...

If that's the way you feel you will probably not like it here then; that's just how they operate

Honestly, if everyone came into SSA and didn't post for 2 months these dumb questions would damn near be eliminated. Honestly SSA treats you like the real world.

If you don't know anything about drag racing and walk up to someone and say what cam is better for my car a 208/212 114LSA or a 230/232 117LSA there probably going to just ignore you. Atleast SSA tells why your wrong and what to do to fix it

Also if you walk up to the same people and say "wat u think is better 208/212 114LSA or 230/232 117LSA, I'm looking for a really high performance car but good gas mileage" (*sound familiar??*) You will probably get ingnored again.

So in other words if you don't come in to SSA with some kind of experience shut your trap and read and search then read and search some more. Instant gratification is not going to happen and SSA is not here to spoon feed you. If you want spoon fed go to your local car audio shop with your bank acount and some vasoline.

Sometimes spoon feeding is necessary, though...

You learned to walk and crawl on your own and those really aren't even necessary for survival. I'm sure you will learn to feed yourself when you get hungry enough.

super metaphor ftw!

okay maybe a little necessary :P

But I don't feel spoon feeding is ever necessary.

Of course I feel we may have a different definition of "spoon feeding". So you go first :D

In case you didn't realize... More than one person on this forum that is a long time member works in a technical field and solves/works on/with real problems (real expensive ones depending on the person...) and in those jobs you don't get real answers unless you ask real questions. It is a lot easier to give suggestions/recommendations for a problem if you know exactly what the person wants, its impossible to give a good answer to a vague as hell question.
