today about 15 minutes before lunch, somebody pulled the fire alarm. so everyone had to leave the school. well luckily most of the classes cause you to go out the front main entrance of the school. into the teacher parking lot.

well i had the privilege to have my car park in handicap parkin right there with the teachers. i had a cast on my leg and my cripple pass goes untill the end of april =]. not to mention i started driving on saturday after 2 months.

anywayssss it was 23 degrees outside, without wind chill, adn there was a steady 5-10 mph wind chill going on. and everyone except me and 4 of my lucky friend was outside being miserable. we all loaded in my car and i got to blast my system and turn some heads. granet it's only a 12" Q sealed. but it does the job fairly well. and i put all of the windows 1/4 way down so everyone can enjoy my music.

+1 for sharing??

needless to say i got a bunch of jealous fingers.. and the administrators didn't like it too much. i talked to the principle after (she's really chill and laid back) she said that she wants a system like mine for her own car, and she was being completely serious. so i might be building a system for my principle here soon.

p.s. it was nice to show off after 2 months of MIA, plus i'm one of ehh 10 or so kids at my school with a decent system, i think i'm the only one without a RF/Alpine/Kicker/all other big [pathetic] name brands. and i think mine hits harder then theres of equal size. i can't wait to go ported next week!!!

no +1 for sharing, way to be a douche bag

that's where i "parked" the charger, looking down off the bridge....

0312091751.th.jpg

pulling it out. gives you an idea of how far down i flew. it's wings sucked. i missed this, i was in the hospital.

0312091756.th.jpg

almost out....looks like it's got a booger or two...

0312091759a.th.jpg

and it's out. it doesn't have a chin anymore and i poked an eye out. the inside is as bad..i broke the sterring wheel and it's shaft. i also broke the dash mounted gear shift. i had a steering wheel tread mark on my chin the next day, it's gone now though....

i know, the pics suck, but they are cell phone, whatcha want me to do?? lol

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

damn dude, glad you're ok

So apparently according to some of the woman's friends, dating me makes her a Cougar... Shes 24 and I'm 21, I fail to see a problem with this.

I was dating a 24 year old when I was 15 so don't worry about it.

That's wild. But I have to wonder what kind of a girl would do that?

One that had no idea how old I was. Actually started seeing her when I was 14, but didn't hit gold until 15.

Ha I thought that might be the case. So you were hittin' a mature-bodied twenty-something at 15. niiiiiiice.

Do you guys know of anything that Australia has that we can't get in the states that isn't illegal or odd to carry on an airplane?

Just curious because I have a friend that is doing foreign exchange in Australia

Aborigines?

Tom,

A reference for you on the kicks. Also, anyone else who is on PT can see. What do you think you'd do?

Here is a pic of a stock kick panel with a stock speaker in the location I'm thinking about. The prose is direct from an email from Josh.

http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/attachmen...mp;d=1222908783

Here is a pick of the hole behind it. Note that the forward hole that shows the hinge brackets is the one I can use. The hole he's using for the speakers is the fresh air vent. The blower motor is behind that...and without A/C I'll need those vents to work, as in the above attachment.

http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/attachmen...mp;d=1233663723

That rectangular grill cloth thing is stock? I don't know if I've heard about anything stock there before. Except maybe with the reverb radio option which is quite rare.

Sounds like you have to fit something in that area in front of the hinge, I have no idea how big it is though. But it does open up to the cowl vent area so IB is no problem.

If his 'bird is anything like my Camaro, the parking brake pedal is right next to the kick so you can't really build it out at all. Unless that lower speaker area is out of the reach of the pedal...

I have not had my own kick panels off, but I've heard they're a real bitch to get in/out

Hope this helps.

There is pretty much nothing in the world that you can't buy in the US for nearly the same price if not cheaper. One of the great things about the US.

Awww why not?

Dumps. This is going to be a nasty bitch, but I'm actually going to drive this one. Still not sure what I'm going to do yet. I want to do turbos, but my interest has been piqued lately with twin screws.

Everything I found worth buying was sold hours or a day before I got to it, so I said screw it. The boy is almost 1 and will be facing forward, plus he loves to take everything in on a ride, so I figured I'd buy a older vert and have some fun together. No modular, so I can pass it on to him and he can learn on the simply stuff, and to be honest, I just miss the crudeness of OHV. The 4V was almost too smooth. It takes away from the driving experience.

Nope, the only thing you usually see (if anything at all) is a 5.25 coax on top of the kick panel.

But I haven't really looked either

I saw a guy once who use either a motor or actuator to engage the e-brake on a G-body and it's in the same location on the F-bodies, so that could be a viable option.

Might have been Gary Biggs now that I think about it.

Oh and before somebody says something:

Sat down and made a list of vehicles to check out. I'm starting out my list with only a few criteria: available in the US, not FWD, no gigantor SUVs, no Vans, no sports cars and <20 years old. So far (stuff in parentheses indicates personal preference):

Fixed

Although, to be fair, a lot of different models on sale from different manufacturers in the US offer "AWD", even though most of them operate in FF mode 90% of the time...
