Just got done looking at some 1br places. If that is an example of what 400-450$ per month places look like for 1br, the hell with those. One of them is a very nice basement apt, large, newly rewired, decent looking pad... Now the outside of the house looks like it got transplanted from a damn trailer park in Tennessee. Looks like damn redneck whitetrashville out back. The other two were just crap, small, old, nasty things. May just end up putting up with roommates for another year.

I had a girl's parents do that to me, I think I was 17 and she was 15. I didn't talk to her much after that but rumor was that she got an STD from a dude at a lake party like two months later and got into drinking and drugs. Great call, parents. I was one of the most responsible teenage boys you'd ever meet. I hear she's married now and doing better, so that's good.

But I can't say I totally blame them. I'm sure I'll be overprotective with any daughter I'd have, too.

So the other night we were kicking back and drinking some beer, I could have swore that the bottle was a twist off... Needless to say I wasn't going to go get a bottle opener for a twist off and I sure wasn't going to let it get the best of me, so I just grunted and ripped the cap off with my hand. Finished that beer, got another of the same kind, couldn't get it off, tossed it to the roommate, he looked at it and I'll be damned if it wasn't a pop off. I was rather surprised I could get a pop off with my hand.
