*shakes fist at Gustav*

Made damn sure to fill up Friday before the refugees started pouring in. Evac shelters have been put up all over the county and the po-po is everywhere (Highway Patrolmen too)

Seems they learned their lesson after Katrina...

I find it funny that despite the fact that the nearest coastline is about 200 miles away everyone in the county is freaking out about Gustav. Either that or they wised up after seeing what the refugees did after Katrina and got all their shit done ahead of time and are basically shutting themselves inside for the next week or so. (Well that's what I'm doing anyway)

Tons of traffic coming in from South (US 59) North (US 259) and East (Texas 21/Louisiana 6)

Police are totally not fucking around (more pork than a barbecue cook-off), I'm just going to lock myself in until whenever they make a decision to have class or not.

We are closely monitoring the weather conditions being created by Hurricane Gustav. A decision regarding class cancellation will be made and posted by 9 a.m. Monday September 1, 2008.

And that's that, I guess...

Put 650 miles on the Cadillac in the last 36hrs, critique of the stereo is that it has serious potential but still needs work, I have some ideas about a couple things to do in the dash, then I need to seal up the doors ASAP. House sitting for my boss this entire week so I'll be doing work, then back to his place, swimming, lounging, and workin on my car in a garage. :)

The Cadillac likes the 91 octane fuel too, I only get ~21.5mpg on the highway with 87, but ~24.5mpg with 91.

Got an idea to make the Fostex in the dash look a Lot better, and removable without taking the damn dash off.

Have to rewire the 12v constant to the HU too, the damn factory setup shuts off all the power to the cabin after 20min or something to keep a dome light on or something from draining the battery, that includes the cd player so I lose all my settings.

And those damn wheels I found for a great price will not fit my car because the brakes are too large. Now I'm on the hunt again for winter wheels/tires. Hopefully I can luck out and find a set that fits and is relatively cheap.

From the reports I'm seeing Gustav is going to make landfall somewhere between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, go up to Alexandria, and continue on to Center and eventually Henderson...lovely...

I love the people that think because they just downloaded a new ring tone that everybody in the room wants to hear it, over and over again.

Time for some grub, and I need to get to sleep early tonight.
