pistols I am solid. I have only fired one pistol close to match grade, I can aquire targets fast and hit them pretty good. I am not amazingly skilled though. Just better than all my recreational friends, probably due to my thicker wrists not being as pulled by the .45. The best ever was with the .44 mag I couldn't shoot fast but I was spot on if I really took my time. It was a verry long barel though and heavy as all hell.

Rifles... well. I am not as good as my roomate, but I would say I do a fair bit better than your average hunter. Not saying much, but I've never really tried for anything past 200-300

As long as you don't buy junk, start playing with different loads and see what your gun likes then go from there. I see no reason you shouldn't be able to hit plates at 800yds.

what do you shoot?

Anything I can. Use to shoot international style pistol a lot, use to be one of the top ranked juniors (sub 21) in the country, hell even set a couple of NRA national records before. Use to dabble a little bit in precision rifle too. I really don't shoot much recently, the school shut down the range couple years ago so I don't have a place to train here at school. Haven't done much shooting recently though.

Sleeping in the room isn't a problem. Its just having everything so messy I can't do shit even if I want to, but staying somewhere else isn't going to help.
