At home and tired, but the weather here seems to be the same as it was in Hawaii. :)

Went to the Royals game tonight and because they scored in the 7th inning I can redeem my ticket for a free hot fudge sundae at Sheridan's (frozen custard place). yessss

I was also thinking about getting one of those little rafts to tool around the small lakes and stuff around here in. Just with paddles, probably, though most of them will accept up to a 4 hp motor (huge, I know!). I was thinking one of those like 11' ones with 2 seats, say they can fit 4 people. What do you think, worth it? They're only between 1-300 dollars depending on the style. Seems like it would be better than always fishing from the shore, anyways, until both my budget gets into the range of a real boat and I don't live in an apartment so I actually have somewhere to put it. Just gotta watch those hooks!

Any boat is better than shore fishing IMO, although that doesn't mean it will be more productive.

Thick cut pork chops, little bit of seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic, black pepper, and some pork rub stuff. On the grill they are pretty much amazing. Any suggestions for things to change is welcome. :)

Instead of seasoned salt, use seasonings and salt separately. Biggest change you can make to improve any cooking. Oh, and use Diamond Crystal Kosher salt for the salt portion.

There's a '73 CB350 for sale a few miles from me for $200, not running, but who knows. I may go down there and see what's up with it, once my class is done in a few weeks I'll have nothing else to do, anyway, other than general maintenance shit around here. I could use a mechanical project to get into.

You should be able to buy it in good running shape for $500

Ryan or Kent, do either of you do any aluminum welding?

My bro-in-law does. Stainless welder by trade, but whacked together my outdrive when a tree fell on it.

SHit.

2008 Civic Si---$21000.

2008 AWD Fusion---$21000 after discount.

Fusion pros. AWD, good power, easy to mod, bigger vehicle, nice big trunk, leather and all the goodies, I'm a Ford freak.

Fusion Cons. Too many on the road. Will never hold value.

Civic pros. IT's a Honda, holds value extremely well, greater reliability in the long run, slightly better on fuel.

Civic cons. It's a Honda, it's smaller, FWD.

What do I do?

I have yet to drive the Civic, so I don't even know if I'll like it.

Anyone have any other suggestions in this price range? I'll have a $10K down payment, so I'll be looking to finance no more than $15K.

Buy an older Fusion.

I'm thinking about getting a bike (bicycle that is) Something that can be driven off and on road. I might be moving and if I could get close enough I would start biking to school. Anywhere to start looking?

I am quite tired of the shit that has floated down the CA.com shitriver and wound up here.

Anything recent in particular?

Not really ... it just adds up at times and you really notice it.

I have since the beginning of the year swapped my SSA banners for CA-F banners on the larger general sites. But CA-F has not really had much of any new members in the last month or so. Outside of the general draw of Fi, what do you think we can do to reduce the CA like posting?

Act more like me. :D

Damn the prices of houses are a hell of a lot better than they are here. For roughly the same price you can get 2x or 3x the house in and around the St. Paul, MN area. A little 2-3 bedroom 2.5 bath house here in a nice neighborhood compares in price to a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3 car garage, separate shop and 3.0 acre property down there.

I know where I will be headed if things stay like this when my contract is up in April 2011. That is going to come up quickly.

If you need a backdoor tour of the area, I'd be glad to give you one. :)

There are D*ck heads everywhere you go, though I would rather put up with incompetent morons over snoody rich ass holes.

Point in Case - Rich bastard that pulls up in his M6 at Starbucks and double parks..... in the Handicap spots! I really just wanted to stomp a quarter panel in, but i couldn't do that to a BMW :)

Take a dump on his windshield

Texas housing is dirt cheep in comparison. This is true.

I couldn't deal with the heat, or the people. Both would drive me insane eventually.

You get used to the heat.
