Through the mountains, thats all you can do, sometimes less, depends if you run into the RV tourists or not.

Just got 26mpg 100% city driving with some a/c use & occassional run up to redline with the Spec V... about 3mpg better than I have ever gotten. Cool.

:woot:

The Golf gets around 5.5L / 100km :)

According to my math, that is 41mpg :D

Plus, I think the speed limit is 100km/h.

Very few roads in Canada are higher than 100km/h limited. It was sure different going down the interstate in ND @ 80-85mph.

Where to?

Back to BC.

Yep, through the mountains. I'm going to leave early (~5AM) in hopes of avoiding most of the tourist and semi traffic.

You are right - 100 km/h the majority of the way. I won't hit more than 105 as the highway cops are more than happy to write you a ticket for that. 110 km/h from Lethbridge to Fort Macleod on the freeway (only about 45 km's).

i am glad that we have people to defend our freedom, but they are usually douchebags. No offense meant to jordan, and anyone else that may serve here, as he is an exception, but 90% of the soldiers i meet i just end up making fun of.

The one i always love to pull is that he can be as buff as he wants, he can be trained in all kinds of stupid chit that he'll never use, but when he gets shipped over seas it's me that his gf will be calling, not him.

Glad to hear I am not counted in that 90%

The only issue here is for me, alot of my training has come in handy in the occasional fight, but I want more. I will say this tho women like the gf u describe are a large part of the reason why we come back so incredibally pissed off.

J

i am jordans woman...and i have to say i think your statement about you being the one the girlfriend will call when he is overseas..is just plain nasty and stupid if some girl wants to cheat on her deployed boyfriend then shes a piece of chit....and not in love with her boyfriend shes not cheating on him b/c hes a military jerk off...its b/c she doesnt love him...otherwise why would she have gone out w/ him in the first place. 2nd...you cant stereotype that MOST military guys are jerks...there are jerks everywhere not just the military go to your local GYM youll find a ton of MUSCLE HEAD DOUCHE BAGS that think they are "IT" but they dont have the BALLS to go over and defend this country.BTW..when i went to visit jordan last week i met 3 capts...2 guys and girl the one guy was 23 the girl 23 and the other guy 28..the 28 year old was in charge of the convoys...DANGEROUS job...he loved it...he said he was soooo PROUD to have been there and that despite what ppl said WE ARE MAKING A DIFF and that he would go back in a minute..the other 2 followed up his sentiments..and as far as having a trade when they get out...MOST are taking college and/or CABLE classes, satalite comm. classes or computer classes....They were soo proud...KUDOS to them...Military people put their wants aside for something bigger. I give KUDOS to all military guys...ESPECIALLY INFANTRY!!!!

i'll leave this alone, but only for you jordan :drink40:

3rd gear in the M when shit like that happens, but of course then you can pass people quickly as well.

I hate the wind. I really, really hate the wind :P The town itself is alright - I have a good position at the University so I can't complain and won't be going anywhere for at least three years.

Next June ... I should be here unless I am away for vacation/conference/research. Are you staying on Highway 3 all the way through into BC or going North after Lethbridge? I might pop up in Saskatoon for a conference at some point in the future.

alrighty i hear u on the line drivers

the whine is there as soon as the headunit powers on thus turning on all the amps

and then i hear it

i usually listen to my music loud enough it just drowns it out :)

but its gettin really annoying

what did u think about the run of 1/0 form the batt?

It's either a system ground (alt ground, battery ground, headunit ground, headunit ground plane, amp ground or amp ground plane), or a pinched/cut RCA cable.

makin a list :)

and for the amp ground it would be great to run the 1/0 all the way back from the batt? havent got that answered yet

but i need to try a place where max ppl say is good

still need to do the big 3

-how many of yal use inline fuses for this?

i was think just from the positive to the alt pos

if i use any fuses at all

Niki,

I think you missed a bit of the point of Matt's comment...either that or I did. I took it as when he met someone who has returned from service that is a douchebag that he would then return the favor by telling him he'd lose his girl.

All of us here have a lot of respect for Jordan, Rich and even people we don't know who are serving our country in the Middle East; however, the respect can of course be altered when the person you are respecting doesn't prove worthy of the respect and does everything the opposite of how it should be done.

And indeed Kudos to the infantry, they all have more balls than I do :fing34:

Oh, and :WELCOME: to SSA!

I took it similarly to Niki here man............And thats that Matt would be the one "tending to" or "being chased by" the guys woman...........Now me personally I see where Niki is coming from man. and I agree with her. ANY woman who would cheat on her man, ESPECIALLY if he is a soldier is a fucking low down dirty snake of a human being.

And Sean, I do see ur point of respect. That it IS a 2 way street, and u gotta keep the respect u get and earn more as you go.

I just know that after 15 mths of the bs over there, and everything else if ANYONE has a reason to act like a douche from time to time it is a soldier returning from over seas. Thats just my opinion tho.

does anybody know why my shoulder hurts a lot? It's like a nagging thing, not a sharp pain but dull and irritating and zaps all my motivation. It's kinda right in the middle of my shoulder. Not up top on that muscle connecting to the neck, but just under it. I've felt it or some lesser version of it for the last few months. I'm wondering if it's because my right arm is propped up on the computer desk all day at work now, since I've started working full time at this place in January.
