'97 Seville if I remember correctly.

my mom used to have a '97 STS with the 4.6L Northstar

around 100k, we couldn't keep oil in the thing

sounds like a main seal problem.

it was a Northstar problem

so this evening, after seeing a movie, I'm sitting in my car, sending a couple texts, and I see 3 guys walk to their car, the only other car in the lot. well, 1 of them is all nervously looking around, and he decides to take a piss right there in the parking lot. I'm a few spots away and the Imp's windows are so dark that he had no idea I was there. anywho, mid-stream, I crank my car. he jumps and spins around all in one motion, pissing all over the side of their car. then he literally dives into the open rear door.

:D

When I get the Cadillac, I think the first order of business will be sound deadening when I get some $$$.

I'm gonna get some funny looks, redneck guy that grew up on a farm, listens to country, wears boots all the time and rolling up in a typical old folks white 4dr Cadillac. :)

Eh not as bad as white guys blaring ghangsta rap in a lowrider, hitting switches

or anyone blaring gangsta rap and hitting switches for that matter

People actually care if a stranger can see them pissing? Either way nice work.

I've been lookign at buying a Pedal bike, I think I'm gonna get an santacruz Nomad. Maybe a Yeti 7.. But I think the nomad will serve me better and hold value longer....

I can't wait for my computer to get here too. Should have all the parts by friday, can't wait.

You live in MN, no need for the Yeti...although I think from a resale perspective you might have that backwards, but definitely not for here.

I know I don't NEED, but want... heh. I'm hoping to get very agressive and do a bit of down hill and go out went some. The guys who are trying to get me back in are all doing Insane drops and such. Yeti does have good resale... I was thinking more the specialized to the santa cruz.

I want a do it all, because I live here, if I was elsewhere probably a much 303DH from yeti or some other free ride rig. Plus I'm a fat guy, I want as much travel as I can get. lol

Travel makes you slow on our terrain though...

This is true. I would love to grab an ellsworth, their suspension is pretty damn impressive. They are just a good 500 bucks more. Banshee also sells a 6 inch travel rune, pretty nice looking. I'm going to go to chicago and see what kind of deal I can wrangle I think.

My sister got a nursing job for 58 a year right out of college (B.S.n with R.N. cert), pretty damn good for any part of the country if you ask me

vs here in MN where that is less than a first year nurse fresh out of school, and a garunteed 8% raise every year for the next 8+ years.

So found out today my friends house that they are moving into in June is right across from the Tri-Delt sorority house... :) If I provide labor for getting the yard, deck, and trees trimmed and everything up to snuff, free booze for me. :D The project list already includes rerocking the driveway, rebuild deck, clear a few trees, and a few other things.

Nice. I don't know about there, but the reputation for tri-delts at KU is kinda slutty. There's some rhyme about it that I forget, but it involves something like "they say ahh when you stick it in their butt."

Sorority chicks in general are usually pretty easy.

Not to mention international shipping needed for almost everything you want.

Most of the stereo stuff I want comes from the EU anyway, so being entirely in Euros would help me out a ton :)

So, bird repellents. What works, what doesn't, what's just plain old snake oil, etc? Don't mind trying different things, but I don't to waste my money. Specifically its for the front porch/front porch swing, and the wooden dog ear fences.

Best thing I've found is a .177 lead pellet at 500+fps.

I've heard that if you kill one, and set it out, all the others will stay away.

Whether this actually works or not, I do not know.

mk are u in the hop at work?

gansta lmao

I am on SSA at work more than at home (atleast in the hop).

Still waiting for the control # from Detroit for my Jeep. Financing was approved though so now it's just a waiting game. (Good news is my dad already had a meeting planned for Friday morning with the guy that does the control #'s for the northeast).

4 hours 10 minutes until freedom. I'm glad my patients are being good and sleeping tonight.

was just sayin cuz this is his first week at his new job :woot:

In fact, professionally right now I'd really, really push everyone to continue on. A Masters really will open up the job market as many of the lower end jobs will be shipped to where it can be done cheaper.

x2 - I would definitely recommend a Master's. The return for the investment is worth it in my opinion. A lot of schools hand out enough scholarships to cover tuition, research, and cost of living ... so two years of free eductation to bump your B to an M ... nevermind the chance to go on and snatch a PhD if you wishl.

In particular for you Engineering types, you almost always get paid to goto school :)

For now, education is free in my case.

im really deciding on if i should stay and get a masters

but sort of dont wanna wait around for 2 more years

and i know what yal are goin to say better to do it now cuz in the long run its much harder to obtain....

That or an airsoft gun are my preferred methods as well :D

Nevermind harder to obtain later on ... but if you can land a couple scholarships and/or work during those two years and come out even or ahead you are in really good shape. Not to mention all of the contacts you will make during those two years - job opportunities really start to open up.

Actually, on the making contacts note, I highly suggest undergrads and grads going to school right now attend conferences in your field. Listen to the presentations and go to the booths ... that is a great way to nail down some great potential employers or contacts for future use.

You know me Trav, I'm a baller!

Finished a little project today, had to do some research on a boiler feed water pump and natural gas pre heater and ducting inbetween to see if we could raise the alarms up another 20* and still be safe in operation. Answer: Yes
