In fact, professionally right now I'd really, really push everyone to continue on. A Masters really will open up the job market as many of the lower end jobs will be shipped to where it can be done cheaper. Hell I am pretty much the only one in my company that doesn't have a higher degree.

ugh, more school :(

General Motors, Chevrolet Division and the Central Indiana Camaro Club would like to announce an exciting new development in the Camaro world. We have now been authorized to release information that the new production Camaros will be in attendance and unveiled at the Indy 08, Back at the Brickyard Event in September. The car will be unveiled at the event and many different models/engine combos will be available for the general public to review. Expect to see many different color combinations as well.

The 'Back at the Brickyard' Event will be happening in Indianapolis Indiana from September 19-21, 2008 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Hundreds of Camaros, Firebirds, and Pace Car owners will be in attendance to celebrate the unveiling and enjoy this historic event. GM Dignitaries will be in attendance as well to discuss the design, engineering, marketing, and accessories for this new model of Camaro. Vendors will also be on hand displaying their products.

For more information on this event, please visit

We look forward to seeing everyone there!!

No shit. I don't understand, but I guess the difference becomes clear when you have done both.

x2 - I would definitely recommend a Master's. The return for the investment is worth it in my opinion. A lot of schools hand out enough scholarships to cover tuition, research, and cost of living ... so two years of free eductation to bump your B to an M ... nevermind the chance to go on and snatch a PhD if you wishl.

In particular for you Engineering types, you almost always get paid to goto school :)

Grades Still Not Posted

most of my grades took until at least the week after finals week to get posted. So I wouldn't hold your breath.

Due date for grades to be posted is Wednesday, May 14, 12:00PM. Seems like my teachers are as bad at procrastinating as I am

oh you guys must be a week or two ahead of KU. They're just having finals this week. I don't think grades are due for another 1-1.5.

No chit. I don't understand, but I guess the difference becomes clear when you have done both.

they both have pros and cons to me. I got tired of doing work that I wasn't getting paid to do in school, and work I just didn't like to do in general (spanish, english papers, etc.). But you have fewer responsibilities in school, and the schedule is easier. Most people don't go to school from 8-5 like many jobs, your classes may not start till 9-10 and only last a few hours, or some days you may only have one class or something and get a bunch of free time. But the thing I like about working is that you have no homework. Once you go home you can forget about work and not have more work to do.
