Welcome to the IHoP

Recommended Posts

Late at night all systems go

You have come to see the show

We do our best You're the rest

You make it real you know

There is a feeling deep inside

That drives you fudgein' mad

A feeling of a hammerhead

You need it oh so bad

Adrenaline starts to flow

You're thrashing all around

Acting like a maniac

Whiplash

Bang your head against the stage

Like you never did before

Make it ring Make it bleed

Make it really sore

In a frenzied madness

with your leather and your spikes

Heads are bobbing all around

It is hot as hell tonight

Here on the stage the Marshall noise

is piercing through your ears

It kicks your ass kick your face

Exploding feeling nears

Now is the time to let it rip

To let it fudgein' loose

We are gathered here to maim and kill

Cause this is what we choose

The show is through the metal is gone

It is time to hit the road

Another town Another gig

Again we will explode

Hotel rooms and motorways

Life out here is raw

But we will never stop

We will never quit

cause we are Metallica

Insured the 300C today.

31 MPG @ 70 mph. Works for me.

Also found out today that the board of governors approved my proposal. Looks like I get to order half a million in fitness equipment.

awesome, congrats Steve

and you got 31 with the 5.7? DoD?

Thanks!

The MDS was kicked in the entire trip ... with the exception of a couple downshift passes and a little too much pedal pressure that sent the car sideways for a few feet :P

Well, I'm out to go drink.

Later ya'll.

Already started LOL

and its 646 and i'm........yea

Jq

So yea... I had almost a full liter of Glenlivet, me and a friend polished that off, then there was 3" left in the bottom of a handle of Capt Morgan, we polished that off, then apparently we started working on the Bartons Rum before calling it quits.

I don't remember anything past the glenlivet, I was informed of this this morning and said "We did WHAT?"

I need to drink good stuff more often though, no hangover FTW!

been test driving a few new chevy trucks with MDS, funny to watch a truck get 99mpg, lol. and while i don't know about dodge's, i know that the chevy's is pretty seemless when the MDS kicks on/off. i've read all those stories about how one can feel it, but IMHO, it's jsut wasn't there. didn't feel any different then anyother computer controlled engine/tranny.

To my knowledge he still has the funny car/truck. Yes, he has about a 1/4mil in it to my knowledge. Also, as far as I know he has multiple race engines sitting in his shop unused and I think the fire chicken engine came from one of those. As far as I know with his M.S. he can't race in regular races anymore so the only thing he uses the funny truck for is exhibition races. But I don't know if he still does that.

the 250k sounds about right, lol. and he would only run it on specific tracks anyway. if it wasn't flat, it didn't get ran. words straight out of his mouth. i can remember the first time i talked to him. i lived about 3 doors down from where that truck was built. i went to the yard to inquire about a radiator for my truck, and while talking to rodney, they fired that damn thing up. OMG!! i wet my pants, and it wasn't piss, lol. i was a good 50 yards away and the ground just rumbled. of course i had to see what made that noise. and i met todd. kind of a nerdy looking guy, but jesus, he builds some badass rides!! tiny mite (the brown s10) has terrorized the town for years, lol. was a dually for a while, then went tubbed.

but as far as if he even runs it, you got me. i haven't been to rodney's garage in years. i know that their scrapping business is still doing well as rodney has done nothing but expand and add new shit all teh time. i can only imagine what todd has been doing.

They should make Nascar go back to production cars, put the standard cages and what not in them and have them go at it. I think it would be a lot more exciting to watch and we would have a lot more interesting cars show up on the lots. :)

I might watch it if it were actually stock cars. Hell make the bastards stop at the halfway mark, and give them 15 minutes to set up the car, and run the second half of the race the other direction around the track . :)

How about a figure 8 track with a bridge so no criss-cross-crash.

And why is it that the luggage that people roll around (mainly overweight women) is always smaller and will hold less crap then my backpack which I carry everywhere. It ain't that fricking hard people, just carry it on your backs, you might work up a sweat and loose some weight too.

Now I do know some people that can't carry a traditional backpack due to back issues, but they are in the minority.

Plus the luggage looks just plain dumb as hell.

Hard to pack a suit in a backpack.

I only travel with one of two kinds of bags though. A roller suit bag or a backpack.

<-- has at least 8 different packs and one "suitcase"

in the last month i have had/will have to replace the tires on every street vehicle i own. yesterday was the scoots turn. went for a ride, took a corner, felt like the ass end was sliding out from under me. took a few corners, thought maybe i had a fluid leak that was keeping the rear tire wet. pull over to look, goddamn thing is flat. don't have a clue why. got to a gas station, put air in it. guess what? it held just fine. in any case, tire had 12.5k on it, time for a new tire anyway. i hate jsut replacing one, so i dropped $350 on a pair of tires. same damn price for four tires on the cooper. WTF?? oh well, if i had gone to the H-D dealer, it would have been $350 for just the rear tire, lol.

the trailblazer gets it's new tires in a few weeks. damn things. oh, and the john deere could use new tires as well. go fucking figure, lol.

Me too. I managed to get nearly 80k out of the truck tires, and in less than 25k have used up 3 sets on the car.
