The only hard part is when the road surface goes from snow to ice to blacktop to ice, other than that controlled drifting is half the fun of winter.

<--definitely does it in traffic

*will add the last time I crashed doing so was 15 years ago I had a run in with a tree. It was the first time I was ice drifting in a 4wd and I found out the really hard way that counter steering in 4wd and rwd are NOT the same.

lol. Definitely different things.

I hit a snowbank when I was 17 from oversteering around a corner on the way to my girlfriend's house. It was good for me, though, because it reminded me to be a bit more cautious.

I have 3 places to go this summer/fall and it seems like the summer is disappearing already.

1. Victoria - Staying with a friend on the beach for a week to do nothing. I will enjoy some of the finer BC exports, though. ;)

2. Sean's - Durr...it's Sean. What was the date for this again?

3. Rocky Mountain Audio Fest - Really one of the premier home audio shows.

And somewhere in there, I need to work enough to pay bills while going to school for another year. And move in with the woman. Ahhh...the reality of life.

I make use of my ebrake a lot in the winter months. :) Sure helps get me around corners when I start to plow forward.

True....I don't use the e-brake. Ever. Maybe something I should try a bit...but now the snow is going away.

In the absolute weirdest way, I miss my Chevy Avalanche. It was an ugly, hideous thing that was way heavy for the 5.3L in it. But it was fun to beat the crap out of...regularly.

Not too sure, I'm gone so much that I might not be able to swing it. If I can, I won't know for at least another 90 days or so.

P.S. good drivers can control either type of driveline.

Indeed, but that is definitely key.

Tom ... found out one of the guys I see in the gym regularly has a '95 Impala SS. Going to check it out whenever I get a chance and maybe snap some pictures for you.
