I wonder how high a Peerless SLS 10 or 12 can go...without totally sounding like ass...

Because the B&C choices are way up there in price :suicide-santa:

Not very, 400hz is tough even. The Aura 10 or 12 for barely more dough however can play to 1200hz pretty nicely.

The ones listed on Madisound for $180ish?

That's good to know, out of my price range right now but that's a heck of a driver if it goes up that high :)

Oh, and I figured you'd like this: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.p...182#post4165182

Ok, its project cheapo surround sound. I have the sub-stage and mains done (Dual MAW 15's, Fostex FE127's), now need to do the center channel and surrounds. I'm thinking FE127's for the center and Tangband 3" ones for the surrounds...

Idears?

I really liked the Fostex FF85 when I heard them, IMO they would pair up a bit nicer than the TB stuff.

They look like a good idea to me. :)

Think I'm dropping my STAT510 class, it would drop me down to 13 hours, and that will be plenty with the classes I have and work.

A guy on ESPN just said the super bowl was a good old fashion beat down. Beat Down???

Seriously now, it was 10-7. It was good football game. New York did out play the patriots, but calling this game a beat down is just ignorant. I still personally believe that the Giants offensive just got plain lucky at the end of the game. Their defense busted ass to hold the Patriots to 7 but its not like the Patriots D didn't do a fine job to keep the Giants at 10. Their defense won that game and should get all the credit because Eli was not really that impressive. He just didn't screw up.

eh zip it mk just because u wanted to see them go 19-0. :( the final score was 17-14. the giants played great on both side but their defense did do incredible! and the pats defense didnt have an answer for the run. Pretty much the pats just got out played the whole game.

Pats definitely got out played. But it wasn't a beat down. It was a good win. Hell, It was a great, remarkable win that they should be extremely proud of. Just not a beat down

Basically any car (assuming I buy brand new) or truck I want all get in the area of 22-27 MPG and cost between 28 and 40 grand...bugger...oh well, my Silver's still running strong so meh...

arbitrary constraints if you ask me:

why new?

why mileage? isn't really about the $

why 28-40k? You realize that you just outlined a variance of $500/mo to $850/mo at 48mo (and yes anything longer is stupid)

Doesn't have to be new; I most likely will never buy a new car in my lifetime

Better mileage is always a perk

Because I did only random searching, no real thorough investigation whatsoever

I don't really have any objective constraints when it comes to automobiles TBH. I only ask that it have a) FR layout b) automatic/CVT c) at least a decent level of build quality. I also like effecient design but thats completely and utterly subjective...

I heard them running a 2 way in a car with the TB 5.25 subs for midbasses...about as close to a point source as you can get in a car. On axis hidden in the dash.

Shit, terrible game if you ask me. Neither offense deserved to be in the Superbowl.

Now, I have no issues with your list it just seemed to not make sense for a while there.

Sean, I do believe that I am going to take the job so I will be up to MTS sometime within a year or two.

Figured it up, I can work down there, take classes part time (9cr max) and graduate in 3.5 more years (total of 6.5).

Hell, then by the time I graduate I will probably have all my student loans paid back.

Well no matter what you might as well, you can always quit a job. Hopefully I will get off my ass and come your way first. :)

Looks like I might sell my old truck. Sad, because it is the only vehicle my parents have owned New. Good thing is I will get the money, but I'll sure as hell miss that truck (even though its a POS in most people's eyes).

Probably end up using some of it to add into some investment I've been planning (very small investment but much better than idle money), that way I won't spend it all on audio for the truck (an investment in its own right though, eh?).

Now to pull everything out and start selling. Anyone interested in a ZX400.1 or Xt1600.2?

I figured since tax time is here and everyone is already looking into there investments anyway I thought I'd share some good info that was past onto me.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now

be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all

the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling, you would have had $214.00.

So, based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink

heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan.

You would have $1206 right now. A 20% return..... not too shabby

Value of Nortel Network shares:

March 24, 2000 - $1412.50

February 4, 2008 - $12.69

Ouch ... I wonder if they can blame Bush for this one ?
