Any one have any ideas on a small laptop setup with either 9W@8 or 15W@4 power with max box dimensions per speaker being 8"x8"x16"?

Sonic T-amp from parts express would fit that budget, not sure on the actual size but it would be close.

*edit*

Specs on the T-amp (60 bucks)

Power output: 2 x 9 watts (4 ohms @ 0.04% THD + N), 2 x 15 watts (4 ohms @ 10% THD + N), 2 x 10 watts (8 ohms @ 10% THD+N) *Efficiency: Up to 88% *Signal to noise ratio: 102 dB *Dimensions: 1.18" H x 6" W x 5.5" D.

Any good ways to break wood glued joints?

Other than a circular saw...which may come next...

What kind of joints?

Not sure if you guys remember the computer speakers I built. The 1/4 wave with a 3" TangBand driver... I'm thinking of building an extra set or two to sell. Would 100-150$ be to much for a pair of piano black finish cabinets (MDF) that are well made and don't look like something a idiot cobbled together? *I'm debating on hiding the mounting tabs on the basket and possibly putting a walnut trim ring on the speakers, piano black finish, satin finish Dayton binding posts*

That is where I got those specs from :). I also have a "surround sound" Stereo at home with 5 channels (not sure what power they put out, but there would be no active processing happenning).

Looking for a highly efficient small Speaker design. I know that mean no low Frequency response at all but thats fine with me just looking for something cheap, fun to do, and better than these laptop speaks.

Naaa, just posted here in the 'hop. Its a 1/4 wave with the Tangband w593? driver, no true specs, sound good, works best in a smaller room against the wall, get fairly loud, has decent low end, don't need that much power, etc.

I'll find a picture for ya.

*edit*

Thats a 19" widescreen monitor

I couldn't afford that much height :(

They do look good though, I could see my friends all scratching there heads though.

On a BIB could you you reflect of the bottom/top of the enclosure twice?

How much height do you have to work with? I'll build anything. :)

8(W)x8(D)x16(H) inches I was looking to build something for the laptop so I will be warmed up when I do my full scale BIB's (I won't say large BIB's since it uses a 4 inch driver and not a 12 inch :P )
