I'm headed to sleep as well, I get to spend quite a bit of time working on my entertainment center tommorow. Possibly even get a coat or three of paint on it. :woot:

*Yes Tom, pics will be posted*

Yea, but it has never worked right on my phone. I think it has something to do with it being alltel, cdma, and gay all at once.

with my e815 you had to edit the seem before mpt was even worth using. you also had to have the right type of USB cord. Not just any one would work, certain brands wouldn't work as reliably as others.

of course now my 815 is getting ready to bite the dust and i have no idea what i'm going to get to replace it, maybe an enV

It's lighter than any pushrod enginewith an iron block, and only slightly more than an aluminum-blocked counterpart, plus there are kits for direct bolt-ins for the modular engine fanily in the early engine bays.

From the great interweb I have been led to believe that the 4.6L is heavier than a 460 cast when fully assembled...but you have stemmed my curiosity.

Anyone know where I can get a 2000 remote for a VW? My dad's is really effed and he only got one with his car. It is the little flip remote. Used would be fine as I *assume* that I can just put his cut key on it.

stealership maybe ?

try here : http://www.remotesunlimited.com/MakeModelSearch.aspx

and here : http://www.keylessride.com/order/chooseveh...remoteyear=2000

Thanks, but $90 is steep. :(

Long block 4.6 with aluminum block should be no more than 425lbs.

Before going any further, can I ask why the big concern about weight? As I understand it, this will be a street car only, so you will never notice an additional 50lbs over the nose. Now, if you plan on flogging it around a track, that's a little different. I'd still take a little extra weight over the front with increased power and help steer with the rear wheels if need be.

Just preparation for the future, I hate doing something and then feeling later like I should have taken it one step further. Also you know me, overdo what I can...captain overboard. What you say is 425lbs I was under the impression was closer to 700 which also makes a rather large difference, 50 lbs I wouldn't be concerned with and am now much more excited about the 4.6. The main reason I was going to go aluminum on the 351 was to have a bottom end that is bulletproof, a Dart cast isn't that much cheaper than an aluminum so once spending a couple g's on a block why not. Of course a functional 4.6 is way easier to find or for that matter a 5.4 out of a Navi or something.

That was the hottest fucking camping I have ever done... 100 degrees + humidity & sandy land & no fucking shade, in a tent. I'm burnt out.
