On this day in 1980, Cable News Network (CNN) began broadcasting. It was 40 years ago today, The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was released. In 1831, James Clark Ross discovered the North Magnetic Pole. In 1792, Kentucky was admitted as the 15th state of the United States. And in 1495, Friar John Cor recorded the first known batch of scotch whisky. Happy Birthday Alanis Morissette (1974), Heidi Klum (1973), Ron Wood (1947), Jackie Stewart and Cleavon Little (1939), Morgan Freeman (1937), Pat Boone (1934), Marilyn Monroe and Andy Griffith (1926), Frank Morgan (1890) and Brigham Young (1801).

hehe the actual lyrics are:

It was twenty years ago today

Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play

They've been going in and out of style

But they're guaranteed to raise a smile

So may I introduce to you

the act you've know for all these years

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band

We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band

We hope you will enjoy the show

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band

Sit back and let the evening go

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band

It's wonderful to be here

It's certainly a thrill

You're such a lovely audience

We'd like to take you home with us

We'd love to take you home

I don't really want to stop the show

But I thought you might like to know

that the singers going to sing a some

And he wants you all the sing along

So may I introduce to you

The one and only Billy Shears

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band

Good lawd these maggies are horribly inefficient!

They laugh at everything my QSC Powerlight as to offer... Its still pretty damn loud but I figured that it wouldn't take my powerlight that easily, never had the clip lights flash on it but its all good it has a pretty darn good clip limiter and it wasen't for long. :)

Engaged in a "discussion" with a guy over on Audioasylum who claims he can hear differences in speaker wire lengths down to 1/32'th of an inch.

I swear, I don't know what's worse...n00bx arguing about what bangs louder or people who should know better arguing about what molecular formation of copper sounds the best.

:shrugs:

oh please Jim, everyone knows that BCC copper sounds SO much better than FCC copper

The sad part is I know exactly what BCC and FCC is and can even draw a picture of it and do calcuations with it...

engineering FTW.... or maybe FTL, could be either
