Not so sure about that Jim . Been to alaska during salmon season . Awesome fishing , beautiful scenery . But something about the bajillion dead salmon carcasses laying on the river banks , and the dudes behind you with high powered rifles on bear watch just made me uneasy :)

Not to mention guerilla warfare fishing. Shoulder to shoulder for miles casting isn't exactly serene.

Dimmu Borgir is here this week and Skinny Puppy will be here in a month :) :) :)

Holy crap. It has been more than 10 years since I have even heard the words Skinny Puppy more or less any of their songs.

Funny the last time I went to a Tool show it was in 94 or 95 IIRC.

Sean is old :P

but apparently had really good music taste

had, lol

yeah we should make a thread about food. I had an e-commerce class with this guy that read "grilling" forums. I had no idea they even did that. Was pretty cool, they would design there own grills and build em. Pretty neat stuff, we should do something about food though. I love to cook and girls say I do a pretty good job. My dad taught me ;).

If you goto a grilling forum look up the Big Green Egg (and its better brother the Viking C4). Expect to lose your wallets, especially on the C4. IMO best grill evar, charcoal too!

On a side, there are a ton of coffee forums and of course yours truly spent a chitload of time reading on them when he bought he last machine. Worthwhile for sure. Not however a place I'd really post.

we really should make a section for it. Maybe under the lounge have a sticky for it? I'm always down for new ideas on food and what not. I love love love to make chicken alfredo. Haven't in a while but I used to do that all the time. I dunno, maybe a post your grill thread!!! LOL I got one for christmas, it's not much but hey it's a grill ;).

R2 those Maggies had a following in the day. Should be cheap now. I heard a pair a while back with a set of nht1259's for the low end a while back in a cusotmer of mines garage. I really enjoyed them, but it was at least 6 years ago and owned nothing worth comparing at that point. Smoked my *pukes* Definitives though.

hehehehehe. It's the bike I'm most likely gonna go with. I went in the shop today and they had so many more bikes then the first place I went to. I think I've made up my mind to buy a Specialized Rockhopper Disc in Satin Black Swoosh. As soon as my friend gives me the rest of the money he owes me for my half stack I'll go pick it up. Can't wait ;).

Got to hear two pretty sweet systems tonight, both 3ways...sort of.

Mazda 6:

Lpg25nfa 7kup, Hivi B3N 300-7, Seas L18 80-300, JL w6v2 sealed to 50 all a/d/s ph powered with a carputer.

And what will be Jim's fav:

Honda Prelude

Fostex FF85K 300up, Tang Band W5 to 180, JLw3 sealed to 25 a/d/s 850mx powered via W200 & H701

The bass out of the Prelude and stage was unbelievably deep and wide. The Mazda really made me want mids. Both owners loved my substage integration and drooled over my midbass. Their critique of my setup was a bit of stage center and height. The height I agree with and currently I have tried eq'ing with everything but of course could change the mounting location. The problem really is in the transition range between my mid and tweeter which going three way would fix. The center I know as I "intelligently" unplugged the 880 completely for longer than I should have and had no presets earlier this week. Lost my l/r eq settings :( so the stage shifts to the driver). That I can refix though.

So ... today I found myself standing with some little white remote control type thing in my hand staring at a TV and bowling.

Those little Wii things are nuts.

Well It's about 600 give or take. It's the left over money I had from sellin my half stack. I only needed about half to pay some bills and the other half can be used for this bike so it's all good.

Yeah I know what you mean but I only have to make it till summer is over and then my parents start helpin me out again b/c I'll be in school. I'm thinking about movin in with my cousin b/c his parents own some rent houses so it'd be real cheap. Who knows though, we'll see how the cards play out.

here's what i've been up to lately....

first i found that half the belle is blown, sub side doesn't work, fets are gone. I figure I'll send it out to the same guy that dave had do the revo and get it beefed up a little. I do have the revo that i'm borrowing for now. The sub is a 12" Q

P5140035.jpg

I have nothing but good things to say about this sub. It is to date the tightest sub I've heard. 1.75 cubes sealed and it has plenty of output on the revo at 1 ohm (1200-1400W I'd guess). I can't say enough good things about how well it handles quick bass. It's still getting broken in so i won't write anything close to a review until i've actually played with it for a while but i think this sub might be sticking around for a while. I will say that while it doens't have the low end that my ava had, it has way more output, far more pleasing sound, tighter, and i almost prefer the natural roll off on the Q to the extended low end of the ava.

the rest of my time has been spent on this...

P5150041.jpg

and this...

P5150043.jpg

thats the old rusty battery box that i fixed before on the fiero. I finished spraying it to try to hide the liquid nails i used to cover the seams (it worked great too). I don't have a before pic, but there was nothing there, the whole area had completely rusted out. I'm quite happy with the results considering that is old tin we had laying around. The battery won't be there anymore so strength is of no concern.

I also cleaned out most of the leftover insulation and cleaned some of the dirt getting it prepped for its future secondskin treatment. Now if i can just get my god damned motherpucker motor mounts in so i can mount the 3800 to the cradle.

oh yea, went to check my 13 year old neice out of school yesterday. I got hit on by a 50 year old and two 13 year olds before i made it back out the door. It's scary/unnerving? when a pair of 13 year olds actually hit on you, i felt like telling their parents on them.

I have a LOT left to do on the fiero, but i'm out of $$ and can't do any manual labor BS until i get the cradle, mounts, and wiring harness in. then i get the engine mounted, axles made, water hoses matched, computer reprogrammed, and a few small things. Then it's on to the interior and audio.

i think what bothered me so much is my neice is that age, and then my sister asked me to talk to her about sex and give her the big speeech because she looks up to me more than her.
