So SSA is marketing its own subwoofer?

...don't take this the wrong way, I don't mean any offense...but a new, "normal" subwoofer is about the last thing the market needs right now.

Jim, I understand your thoughts, but this application was the easiest way for us to break into the market. I did not intend for the SSA sub to take on the likes of the MAG in perfomance or the L7 in sales etc., just a well built sub that sounds great and is versitale. If I had the requsite $xx,xxx in my pocket to mahine and design something ground breaking, I would. This is just to get us started, and if we sell a few and people love them then great. I mean DIYMA did it, why can't we do it better?

;)

For Sean: ('07 530i)

s530frontek1.jpg

s530backro6.jpg

I love that car, great mix of scoot and everyday driving. I can admit I am just as much a BMW person at heart as I am MB. Just my family has a history with MB's, but I have worked on many a 3series. My Amanda test drove the 530i, and loves it, so you guys better buy a ton of stuff from the store so I can make her happy. :P

Yesterday was a big day for SSA, the release of prototype pictures, and we made major strides towards better security. We have a dedicated IP for better security on the entire website and even more secure transactions on the store.

Kent, the hardest thing for people to do is maintain the drive. If you can stay motivated, or set short goals, your success will be easier I feel.

:)

If you're still in and sticking with it after two months you shouldn't have a problem.

I'll be sending motivation every once in a while to you Kent ... at your g-mail account ... it'll get you to the gym.

look forward to it!! any hints, suggestions or products are more then appreciated!! the main goals are increased cardio, slimmer waist and of course a more cut look. weight loss isn't that big of a deal as my frame more then supports my 235pds. i just need to put the weight in the right places, lol.

aaron and steve, i'll be leaning heavy on you two. i really appreciate the help.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

One thing I like is variety. Switch it up often to keep it interesting and keep your muscles on notice at all times. For example, every two weeks just swap cardio and weights load. Say if you are doing 30 mins of cardio and 45 mins of weights, flip it. Also if you are focusing on a single muscle group for each work out, swap every other month to multi-muscle groups per work out. In addition, lets take chest press for example, work out cycle #1 do dumbells, cycle #2 do bar bench press, cycle #3 hammer strength machine.

Also see if at your gym they can do a BF measurement once a week to help push you along.

Oh and not the ghey 3 point BF test, a real 9 - 11 point pinch test, or machine for greater accuracy. People carry weight in different regions.

I'd hope we'd do it better than DIYMA :OhYeah: That sub had some awful quality control...

I guess I meant that I like the idea of a SSA woofer, I just think that building for a lower price point makes it stand out better :) Everybody and their mother makes a $200 small-box subwoofer...but the number of quality $100 subs is much, much smaller.

If this one were to do well, my next step would be to add a second, lower priced line that would probably be a bigger seller. Followed by a very high end line sub.

Organizing an apartment takes way longer than expected ... I've been slowly chipping away at it for like 2 weeks ... I have a day off today and I really feel like I should get this done and over with, but my friend wants to take me clothes shopping and then go see 300 with her.

Here's my glorious day.

Wake up at 5:30 to leave early for work out of town. Leave and my car is acting up. Idles fine in park, dies everytime I come to a stop and a load is on it. Five minutes away from home and I have a 1.5 hour drive ahead of me, I'm listening to Bob and Tom and all of a sudden I hear this horribly loud pop, the HU cuts out, and seconds later comes back on. One problem. . . The sub is the only thing I can hear and let me tell you how bad it sounds to listen to 56Hz and below. So, I turn the stereo off and proceed on for another 1.45 hours listening to the wind come through my shitty ass weatherstripping at 70MPH, all the while my car dies everytime I hit the brakes. Get to work and this manager at this K-mart store is the most annoying bitch in the entire world. She just talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks. . . . . . . I wanted to shoot her.

Day over, get home, car still dying, go to diagnose the problem. Well, the cheap ass Profile I bought to compliment the sub amp so I could sell this POS car without putting any more money into it BLEW THE FUCK UP. I bought this thing 2 weeks ago, installed it Saturday, and today it takes a shit. But, not only does it take it shit, it takes some victims with it. The entire front stage, AND the rear preouts on my Eclipse. Real fucking nice. Now I have to spend $10 putting new speaks in. Bullshit. And did I ever seal those damn woofers in the door. I never planned on removing them. Just my fucking luck.
