D@mn you Aaron. :D Stop it now , I'm gonna need another closet at this rate :)

there were so few of them and sean was looking for a 6'er or I had reccomended finding one for active,

I swear I should sell my Orion 8004 and 8002 and put a Zapco 650.6 in the back of the sled instead.

Or one of those sexy arse a/d/s :)

I dont see many left in good shape, so few people appricate A/D/S anymore,

honestly my initial plan was to run the 346i's in my car, now I sorta kick myself for not doing that

You show up with a car full of a/d/s and you might not get it back :D:)

What is Flakko using as a crossover on his tweets? He is asking questions on DIYMA about how low the Cal's can play, but only has a 12dB slope.

I am not usually an iHop'er because I was more worried about the other sections keeping traffic but at this point any traffic is good, just changes my most posts %'age hehe

Its good. I like the hop when we banter around, pretty much my only relaxation as in my job I have no colleagues, don't work with anybody, have no peers, and travel a chit ton. Doesn't leave a lot of time for idle work chat which you surprisingly need somehow.

Don't know why you'd buy a 12dB x-over, unless you run a cone like the CA18RNX. That driver is nuts, I can run it all pass and it doesn't sound much different than crossing it over. Its natural rolloffs are super easy to play with. If anyone is a noob and wants to run active it would be my first choice by far as a driver to recommend. No funny cone breakup, no weird non-linearities, pretty consistent impedance curve, measured t/s are almost dead nuts with published, and it will work with pretty much any tweeter since it will play up to 4k pretty easily.

My bro-in-law welds stainless for a living, which makes me really want to open up an outdoor kitchen consulting/installation company.

but i dunno if i want to get back into the flashburns, the slag burn, the coming home filthy, even if it is good money....

and besides, i enjoy doing the car audio thing..but where i work is one seriously disorganized zoo....

we literally put the high end jobs on hold repeatly to do the little ones...and then get bitched at for not being done on time......he doesn't understand that when you start and stop a job, you lose more then just the time on the second job. he never figures that shit in...oh well....

They aren't uber detailed in the upper midrange which would be my only knock. The MB is awesome and the ease of making them sound good is sweet, but the Excel W18's in my car smoke them in the MR. It is funny to hear the W18 breakup though-sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
