Since I've gone with DC filaments in the monos, I'm never going back to AC again :fing34: Hum? Lamination rattle? Whuzzat?

My HiFi News has a very interesting article on tube coolers/dampeners in it. He measured the resonance of the tubes (glass part I believe) and the best solution was to place the cage on the amps. Just like from the factory.

Tube cages?

Factory?

:rofl2:

The only other guy from my HS to actually make it more than a year at VT has an AK, I forget where it's from though. Another one of my friends has an AR-15 that he's sunk quite a bit of money into.

I've shot both, neither are real practical weapons, unless you're invading someplace...the AK gives you the feeling you could run over it with a truck in the mud and it would still work, but it's not terribly accurate. The AR is far more of a precision instrument, but you get the feeling if you looked at it the wrong way it'd jam up. And .223 isn't a very useful round in the woods...

u should fire our M-16A2...........its gotta be spotless or it gets useless...........can shoot rather far and be accurate though.

WinISD online only figures round ports... fudge.

Area is area, if you are using a 4x6 slot just change it to 24sq in round. In that case r = SQRT((4x6) / Pi) and so on. Then it will figure rectangular ports for you too.

I feel stupid now, why the fudge didn't I think of that.

And much easier if you aren't involved in the project. Take a step back.

40hz tunning of a 3cube box for quad References.

13in^2

4.125" long

That sound reasonable? *I don't know chit about desiging ported boxes*

a single 4" might be ok, might be a touch on the small side though

I based my wildass guesstimate off of a 4" port, I might make it a tad bigger though.
