Thats an old video.

OSX is much better.

To shutdown i just click apple, shutdown.

I smirked a bit about the keyboard shortcut.

yeah, its old. Still finny to PC users who have used macs and just about went crazy :rofl2::soapbox::wackit2::angry22::jon::badmood2::bowpuke::brick:

pretty much how i was feeling last time i tried to edit a video on a mac.

Mac users will say that and even more about the stupid PC interface. Don't get me wrong, I have a PC but only because I have to. I would rather have a Mac.

Yep, and the I have to is completely economic referring to upgrades and flexibility since I build my machines.

I know Jim, I reallllly want to make some line arrays. I think I'm gonna have to wait till a little later to be able to splurge on the full planars. :( *and be in an apartment*

But what I think I'm going to do is rig up all 4 of my Dayton References in a TMMMM tower and see how much output it can have. Lord knows I've gots enough power on tap. But I still wanna sell my ART SLA-1 and buy an SLA-2.

So many ideas and wants, but not enough hours in the day.

Speaking of hours, my last paycheck had 107 hrs on it (2 weeks). Goverment took over 150 bucks of it :(.

Dont hate....

But i get oak ply for $35 a sheet

MDf here isnt all that cheap though

Damn, Lowes has BB right now for $32 in 3/4. Oak was $31, and my two sheets of oversized MDF were a total of $21.97 today.

I bought this AWESOME Freud finishing blade for the saw. This thing slices through 3/4" MDF like it's styrofoam and leaves the prettiest edge. I've never seen a better edge or used a nicer blade. 40T titanium tipped carbide with some very nice cooling fins and it's only 1/16" thick. To top that off, it was only $20.

Went to Harbor freight to buy some brads, and they had a combination nailer/stapler on sale for $20. Picked that up cuz my Bostitch can only handle 1-5/8" brads max, while this cheapo can go up to 2", and as luck would have it, the ram in my Bostitch broke on me, so I had to use the new one. It never works like that. Irony. . .

I use 1 1/2" brads for enclosures. 2" have a tendency to shoot out the side.

I use 1-5/8" normally, but there are times when I'm laminating several sheets or using 1" so I would like to step up to a longer brad. I'll have to take a pic of my little contraption I made up for the gun so I get a center everytime. No worry about nailing through the side unless the gun screws up or I drink too much.

Lets do some components instead

The front stage is much more important than the substage

Or just drivers, but now we are talking.

Sean, I stopped into Audio Exchange today, no PRS gear whatsoever. The guy told me they can't even order Premier gear. What a joke.

componet comparison = heft prict tag and lots of time/equiptment and it still couldnt be fair.

All the woofers you mentioned are over $300.

The ampilfier power to run them, over $300

The enclosures built for them...depends on the wood.

A RTA is much cheaper than a TL

I have an RTA, Full Spectrum Analyzer, a Bruel & Kjaer mic, and access to a Laser Scanning Vibrometer whenever I want. You don't have to buy a dumb TL or RTA, just come here.

IS there really a NEED for anymore subwoofer comparisons? I think we're ALL intelligent enough to buy what we will need within our budget. Too much emphasis on subs nowadays.

What we really need is a large test of all these wide range drivers coming out.

Does your spectrum analyzer cover into RF as well?

If so, it'd be worth it to go out there to get some meter time...do my own IMD and 3rd order intercept point measurements and tweak my gear... :ehh:

I can't afford the five-digit price tag that a lot of those things go for :)

THis is the first enclosure I've nailed too, and I have cut my asembly time by 60%.  I love it.  Never going back to screws again!

Yep, that only happens once. I had to screw the damn truck enclosure together since I had loaned out my gun to my bro. Since I was wanting to use it today, I went and extracted it from him.

Thanks, one is now on the way (hopefully anyway) from Sonic. I need a system in the truck; otherwise I drive the car ;)

Since you asked earlier Jim, here is the grill stand I built today. It needs Polyurethane and some sanding, but is pretty much done. I don't get the grill until tomorrow or Friday so I haven't installed the bottom shelf yet since I am not sure how high to put it. It is just clamped on the ground to help hold everything square.

This is the grill that is going in it:
