That want to trade 1958 Model laptop for amp thread it the funniest thing ever.  I love you dudes so much.

That laptop isn't so old, I have one older :)

Dell Latitude XPi...first one in the series I think. Running Win95, indirect lightning strike took out the battery's internal regulator but it still runs off of AC power. I've abused it over the years, and it just won't die...

my dad has a laptop thats hard drive is a floppy disk

Actually, some old laptops have plenty of uses. Toshiba Satellites from the late '90s are prized because they use next to no battery power, and tolerate 12VDC power. My XPS won't even turn on until you give it a nice steady 17VDC source, which sometimes you can't find running in the middle of a field with gel cells.
