I believe shrimp scampi it will be tonight. Haven't had it in a while :)

Almost what I made, I bought a few Jumbo Freshwaters and soaked them in chit tons o'garlic for a couple hours and they hit the Barbie, made some Jerk sauce and marinated Mahi-mahi, and made a white chedder pasta sauce. My kitchen still smells of jerk.

Do the freshwater taste any different ? I have yet to try them. :)

Not really different, a bit more like a combination of a mini-lobster tail and a shrimp though. That might just be that they are gargauntuan. The ones I bought were 4 to a pound.

There's a guy here in roanoke that started raising them a couple years back. he does quite the business now. I just haven't had time to drive out and get some. Sounds like I may have too :)

I think they are worth it. They are usually whiter than other shrimp, which typically means less iodine and a gentler happier flavor. I don't think they grow in quite as warm of water as the Rock's but I am not really sure.

Smoky sweet is fine, just don't use BBQ sauce. Woodchips and soak them in sugar water if you want smoky sweet. I'd do without the sweet though.
