is there a head unit, that i can buy new (05 model is ok) that will not only have crossovers, but a bandpassable rear output?  ie high and low pass crossovers for the rear (not sub)

Ural, but you probably don't want it. Either that or you have to go offboard (Behringer 2496) or offboard integrated like the H701.

*note, my search is for a home audio application :P

Ah, watercooling ftw. Of course you would still need a fan, but with 6.5v running to 2 Nexus fans the background noise in my house is higher. With a waterblock you could probably run like 3v to it on the radiator and have no troubles. I put those in my cpu which is my tv/stereo music source but the dang video card and processor fan dominate (both Zalmann quiets too), I finally just put the PC in the other room.

My home PC is the loudest thing ever, I just got the point where I said "Screw this" and let all 7 fans roar. :lickscreen:

Mine's clocked more than 20% over and is pretty quiet, all you hear are the two Zalman's but it still measures under 30dBA total.

Laptop shopping sucks ass ...  Why the hell do they make it impossible to get a laptop with a dedicated graphics card at a decent price ?

Right now I'm looking at $1600-$1800 for a computer that fits my GF's needs ...  plus accessories and taxes :(

Laptops pretty much svck. Way overpriced and underpowered, and I know you know that you could build 4 or 5 desktop machines that were equivalent for the same price.

I'm still up, and I have a speech today...

Windows can blow me. I'm on another laptop right now, because my XPS decided to take a shit. First, gave me a "unmountable boot volume" error - not the first time it's happened. Booted up off the WinXP CD and ran chkdsk - gave me another error. Did a repair of Windows, now it's giving me a "c000021a fatal system error" message that it won't get past. Currently trying to parallel re-install Windows into a different directory than the defaults, and change my usernames...hopefully will allow me to get back in.

This blows, maybe I should just switch to Linux.

Luckily, the speech is impromptu, sort of made up on the spot. I printed off my cited material from Matt's machine earlier, at the first hint of it giving me chit.

If I actually had a manuscript or something saved on there, I would be out killing furry creatures about now.

Brace what ?

the box. 3.5cubes ported seems like it should be braced.

The brahmas didnt have any bracing. Just an internal port.

The only panel that flexed was the back mainly because it was 48" wide and 22" tall with both 15's firing against it.

But if you did want to brace you could do some "grids" i guess

No idea what they are called.
