What's faster for general browsing in terms of say ... overall speed? Firefox or Opera?

Is there a pros and cons chart somewhere comparing the two?

I think opera is faster as it seems more like a bare bones type browser. The developers even describe it as "a slimmed-down, fast web browser, designed to work well even with older PCs, as well as mobile devices." I would use it if I could get used to the interface, as I've become so accustomed(sp?) to FF.

I use opera, IE, and safari depending on the machine. I like opera cause you can use the zoom features which treat the page like a word document and expand or contract eh page, not the words itself.

I also like it cause it has a "fit to window width" all the threads with huge pics dont bother me at all...it shrinks them.

I just never have liked FF...

Hmmm good to know, good to know.

I'm using FF on both of my home machines and at work.

I might have to just start off with Opera on my new laptop when I get it.

Oh, and it's amazing just how serious you're taken and how well you're treated when you walk into a dealership with a suit on. Maybe American dealerships are like that ... or just this one. Seemed like the guy I talked to wasn't interested in making a sale at all, which was a nice change from the pricks I have to deal with up here. "Sir, I'm not going to bullchit you with the specifications they make us memorize about the cars as it seems you already know what you want and more about the cars then I myself do." ... that guy instantly got my respect right then and there.

Ha Ha! Everytime I go to a dealership in the Cobra, the salesmen come running out, no matter how I dressed. Anything else I drive, I have to go in and ask for help. Irony.

As for the salesman, ask Dave, they ar taight to do whatever it takes to make the sale. Some are great linguists, and he told you exactly what you wanted to hear. It would be nice if they were sincere, but I don't think it's possible for many salesmen.

I've actually run into a couple really nice car salesman, it depends a lot on the area in which you go to around here. One of em was like, "so yea, go home and think about it. check out all your other options and if you decide you want this car then let me know." All other salesmen have tried to force me to buy the car on the spot so that took me back a little. I actually felt sorry I didn't buy the car from the guy. Unlike the other dealership that's already trying to sell me the car before I even step inside it..."Yea, it's a nice car. So should I get an estimate on your trade in?"

Of course - at least he didn't make it seem like he was trying to make a sale, which is always a nice change.

Got my fuel pump today. Bought this one because it was supposedly the ONLY drop-in replacement pump available. All parts stores and dealerships will only sell the pump and sending unit assembly in one. MY cost was $300. I only needed the damn pump itself. Anyways, it took me about an hour to modify my sending unit for the "direct replacement pump." I was not happy. That is until I fired that bish up and beheld that beautiful sound. Pump's a NOISY ho though.
