Ditch the labrynth vent and go with an L if you have the clearance.

i actually figure i'll make the port just a tad longer just in case, maybe 2", that should help with bracing and the .1 dispacement from the woofer.

I WOULD ditch the labrynth, i do hate them, but i have a lot of width to work with and would rather it be wide than deep

Pulled the cover off of the IROC today.  Started it and backed it out of the garage and pulled it back in.  I really just wanted to hear it.

And so it begins.

VIDS!

According to the pic you posted, you have plenty of room for the L without sacrificing depth, assuming the driver will have clearance on the rear. Keep in mind, your vent is going to displace some as well, not just the driver. You will end up with quite a bit less than 2.29 cubes. Making the vent longer will only compound this problem by taking up more space.

sorry the 2.29 is after port dispacement, but not woofer. maybe i'll throw together an L-shape and see what it turns out like

I got ya! You should be fine then. Frequency chance will be .8Hz at most and undetectable to the ear.

When I used to store my other car, I found that a cover removal, half hour drive and a car wash really put me in the right mood.

Matt, if I don't go to Lexington this weekend, we definitely need to play with the Ava and get chitfaced.

welllll now my plans have changed, i was going to be running two 12" avas, but then it changed to one, now it is going to be two again, so aha

mmmm 1/2 ohm on the 1200d, i'm going to have sooo many voltage problems.

anyway, now i have to go back and design the box for two 12ers and my width can only be 37" total
