What's the easiest way to stream music from PC to Android device via home wifi?

]

I use(d) Orb which is an online service.. When I used it, it was free and worked pretty well.. You could access it on your PS3, Android, PC, Whatevs.

I'll check it out, thanks.

Are you trying to do this remotely or in your wireless space? ie, cloud or your own storage. If it is your own I'd bet the Squeeze suite has an app for that. Haven't looked as I just use the Droid to control my Squeezebox and volume in any room in the house. On the road I carry 128gb of music that I've stripped my collection down to but that is a pretty reasonable amount.

Room A = PC with music files. Want to be in room B, and listen to music from my android phone. I've been swapping music around on the microsd card on the phone, but it's becoming a PITA due to the usb cable continually cutting out (which is weird since I've never ever had that happen). Perhaps it would be easier to just buy a 32gb microsd card.

Is your Droid the source or the control (or both)? Can you run a direct wire?

All this recent camera dicussion has led me to look at more lens. I was able to play with a couple on my camera while on vacation and spend time with a guy who takes pictures every day as a job. Needless to say I learned a lot in about 4 hours and was amazed at what I can do with what I have and with the better lens on the same shots the difference was noticable.

I have completely learned how to cheat with lenses and do more with less. My new 18-135 is fucking perfect for what I do. Even weddings that I shoot. Now, if I did more portraits or sports shooting, I think I wouldn't mind a few wide primes or mega zooms.

I found a place that rents the ultra spendy zooms for cheeeeeeeeep for a day. I feel empowered.

How cheap? ...and for what? Would assume you playing in the Canon world that it'd be an L...

Expect ISO 25600 on the upcoming 70d/7dm2. That with a big sensor and some real glass outta rip.

When you can rent those 10, 000$ lenses for 40 bucks, life is good.

If that scales down, I'm doing some renting. I've seen L 300's rent for $150/day. :(

So I was having some weird problem with my hdd continually filling up. Finally found out some bullshit is filling up some random hidden folder (110gb+). trippy.gif

It is system restore. Just access the folder and select the restore period you want to delete. System restore on win7 + takes up huge space.

Which may not be cold to some, but after swimming in the 80+ temps and sunshune last week it sure is cold to me!

I am originally from Buffalo, and I catch shit when I bitch about the 20s here in NC. People don't realize that you acclimate, and I lived in the SoCal for 10 years. Down there 60 is cold. I get used to winters a bit quicker (although now, thanks to old age and arthritis every cold day is a lesson in pain) but those first cold snaps are difficult to get used to.

I worked 6 hours in the garage today with the doors open. First 3 were before noon. It didn't break 8 degrees until after that. Only wore Latex throw aways as well. Ok, about 30 different pairs as carb cleaner and gasoline wreak havoc on them quickly.

To say the sled was flooded is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Gas all the way up to the reeds and in the pipe. She's thirsty.

No, send it to me. I've got another good hour worth of work to do on the sled, but that can be done by 8am if needed.

Two little stupid problems. Smashed o-ring in the carb to seal up the float needle which caused the flooding add no fuel shutoff and you are wet. TPS sensor plug installed backwards.

Fucking drain means pulling the engine. Pulled carb, reeds, plugs, and exhaust and tipped on her side in every which way and pulled recoil until she stopped spitting. Letting her air out overnight.

*wondering if I should squirt some oil anywhere before starting her up. Oil was premixed at about 100:1 for insurance purposes since I had pulled the oil lines and didn't trust my arbtrary oil pump calibration. Figured a shot down the plugs and through the reeds and a few pulls before turning on the ignition may be a good idea if the gas washed everything down. Even though my guess is that 100:1 is way more than needed to keep everything okay as long as I let it idle and get happy.

The Windows PC is the music source, and I want to use the android phone to connect to the PC for the music. Whether the phone can control which music is being played, or if it simply connects to streaming music--either route is fine with me, but I need to get the stupid router figured out now. No direct wire.

Seth, any idea how they rate single wire thermostat transducers for cars. 93-96 Dodge full size truck. I just took it's resistance at 4 different temperatures and it is obviously logarithmic...

Perhaps it isn't the best use for it, but they had it there today and the sled runs between 100-140F usually so it isn't that far off.

The "Temporary Internet Files" folder (C:\Users\anonymous\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\) is fucking huge, but when you open it it doesn't show shit.

After Googling I found out MS decided to make several subfolders hidden even if "show hidden files" and "show important os files" are ticked. Long story short I found the names of the subfolders, and was able to copy them into explorer address bar and start deleting shit. IE: C:\Users\anonymous\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\3BTIJ3F4 has a billion flash video files .FLV So I'm presuming FF/Chrome/IE or some shit has been caching everything like crazy. Not sure if FF or Chrome even uses the folder, but it's weird if it would be coming from IE since I never use it--perhaps some weird malware shit.

In the room where the phone is exists an amplifier/stereo?

And really no access to either ethernet or two RG6's?

I curve fit the response, but am sure using an exponential function is not the easy way to do this. Lol.

Ok, board doesn't like Excel...well I do. Alternating numbers from above. Actual temps are linear.

I think its time for the Firebird to go.

Either get something new to go play in or maybe a classic.

I'm thinking of something on two wheels, but I don't have a death wish.

I would love something two wheeled, but my balance isn't always great, I have a thing for speed, and for saying to myself 'okay I took the curve at 55 last time, lets try 65. That 35 mph sign is for bad weather/pussies/women.' and that is a recipe for death.

I'm a huge Squeezebox fan. Looks like they have a plug in for you.
