I wonder if there are any Android tablets that can get digital line out. I know the ipad can do it no problem, but screw apple.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the point. You could just have a 3mm jack connection on dash with a rocker switch for remote turn on going to some minidsps!

I would definitely consider a mini dsp if I didn't already have the C701/H701 combo. I realize that an all digital signal isn't "necessary" for a vehicle environment, but the H701 accepts it so I figured might as well get the best you can. I don't want to use 3.5mm jack, ideally, because I don't want to use the DACs on my devices.

What would be really cool is a devices that would let me connect via bluetooth, and some kind of direct line that could output to my H701. I would be willing to give up quality if it meant less wires.

Looking at everything, it may be worth it to just get a single din with bluetooth and Aux capabilities so I can also get radio.

I think it would be cool to make a cheaper setup that is more simple, but it adds a lot of complications.

Your just making it complicated. Not saying this would be better, but I don't see why it wouldn't be awesome: Ditch the h701, and run a 3.5mm jack from tablet to 3.5->rca to minidsp, and your done.

His done ? :P

Anyway, if you need 4-way, then keeping the H701 is a sensible option. Why sell when you can reuse what you have ?

I will likely run 3.5mm to RCA on the H701 for the time being, but I never like 3.5mm jacks output.

I always like to look for an awesome way to do something, especially if it streamlines things. I'll find it soon.

Well I have no idea what he's running, but just because you have something already doesn't always mean it's the sensible option. trippy.gif

Sweet. That would be a cool work project.

I presume you guys advertise the haunt on the local radio?

We advertise everywhere and do all the parades.

It is funny how disappointed people are when we are not in a parade or local event.

We have a few haunts that all are owned by the same people, they're alright They use old abandoned warehouses down in the West Bottoms of Kansas, City. with epic slides that go from the top floor 4-5 stories up down the the bottom floor.

Only complaint they are EXPENSIVE! 25-30$ each for around an hour haunt.

Well if things continue this way for us we will be beyond epic next year.

Our prices are cheap $10 and $15.

Seriously? They range from $28-30 right in our area... plus parking.

We took our road trip to the Snow Camp Haunt last night. It was $20, and there was no fee for parking. The props and spooks were better then any of the local haunts, by a good margin (which you would expect because the owners are special effects artists in Hollyweird). They had it set up with more nooks and crannies that allowed for more scares then anywhere else locally. But it was definitely a lot shorter then the other local haunts. Only about 30 minutes, compared to 45 minutes to an hour.

We talked about heading up your way for the haunt next year, Neal. We will likely trek up on a Friday, and when done make our way to Western NY.

Sounds good, just let me know. :)

yes sir, has an issue with 3rd gear, it slips in and out of 3rd while in that gear, so ill see what i can do with it with out opening up the tranny, but shit even if i have to get some tranny work done with my connections it should be cheaper, and ill still be under a grand in it,

should make for a good flip, or maybe a new bass toy, or maybe a new mud toy... i should really focus on flipping it tho if i want to buy a wrecker.

digital/3.5 you won't hear the difference. Not even close. Only bummer is the "extra" volume control

Even when comparing the phones DACs and having a direct line out? At what point would a line driver be in order?

Started messing around the truck to see what they tore up. A few twisting of wires and I had the C701 back on. Threw on my RCA to 3.5mm and had music from my phone. Definitely good enough to hold me over for now.

My guy found a .19 volt drain from the GEM related to the battery saver unit. But somehow in workingnon it, my keyless lock stopped working. The unlock is good. The lock is not.

Sell the damn thing and get something else. Electrical gremlins are a nightmare.
