Heck I wore boots in the islands, sandals just when drinking on the beach.

How was it?

An absolute blast. Loved it.

I was surprised at the watch dealers in every port. Do people actually go there and drop that much coin?

Yea shopping is a catch in all ports. They make you feel you are saving $100's. I always tell people to check the internet before buying things of that nature.

I was surprised that I didn't feel anything was cheap. Some of the liquor was cheaper, but others wasn't any cheaper than I can buy here in town and didn't see much of anything I couldn't get here. The jewelry stores I thought were really expensive, and nothing that good looking that I saw. I figured it was the 'Oh we are tax/duty free, everything is CHEAP' mentality.

We went snorkeling off of Nassau, that was great. :)

Took a boat tour around Norwegians private island, chased some sting rays, a shark, they told us about the island, the trees/bushes, living on the islands, pulled some conch shells up, sea stars, etc. Then found a lawn chair, plopped my ass in the ocean and drank beer. :)

If you want to see nicer jewelry stores go to Grand Cayman. Years ago maybe you could save some money, but today it is rather rear you find a hidden deal in the islands. If you are going for liquor St. Thomas was the island of choice. The last time I was there most rums were under $10 a liter.

Where did you go snorkling at in Nassau, close to port?

That is what it is all about, the sooner you mentaly get there the more fun and relaxed you will be.

One of the reefs on about the other side of the island from port I think. Saw some sea turtles, eels, couple dozen kinds of fish, floated around for an hour looking at stuff.

Didn't get to eat any conch. Didn't find anywhere to eat it in time. Had some local fish at one place, but no conch.

I will be polite and not post the photos of me in shorts and sandals. No one needs to see the sun reflectors known as my white ass legs. Didn't know we'd end up at the beach that day, was just planning on wandering around the town.

Risers on the beast :)i. Could use another 2" though but then i'd lose the adjustability

It's amazing how a little adjustment on the dirt bike can make a HUGE difference. Moving bars up or down, forward or back an inch. Raising or lowering forks a few mm in the triple clamps. Moving rear wheel.

I can make these slight changes, and substantially add or cut to lap times.

I'm now 8" above stock, lol

Holy shit. Guess it's OG designed for 5' 5" people? tongue.png

Not quite, but with a 37" inseam my arms are at least 6" higher than someone with a 30"...

Temp phone pic part way through the install. Had to stop as I need a brake line extension and throttle cable. The white zip ties are temporary as I'll obviously buy some black ones. Ape hangin'!

Do you get a windshield with a 8" riser to compliment that?

Sweet. That would be a cool work project.

I presume you guys advertise the haunt on the local radio?

We advertise everywhere and do all the parades.

It is funny how disappointed people are when we are not in a parade or local event.

We have a few haunts that all are owned by the same people, they're alright They use old abandoned warehouses down in the West Bottoms of Kansas, City. with epic slides that go from the top floor 4-5 stories up down the the bottom floor.

Only complaint they are EXPENSIVE! 25-30$ each for around an hour haunt.

Well if things continue this way for us we will be beyond epic next year.

Our prices are cheap $10 and $15.

Seriously? They range from $28-30 right in our area... plus parking.

We took our road trip to the Snow Camp Haunt last night. It was $20, and there was no fee for parking. The props and spooks were better then any of the local haunts, by a good margin (which you would expect because the owners are special effects artists in Hollyweird). They had it set up with more nooks and crannies that allowed for more scares then anywhere else locally. But it was definitely a lot shorter then the other local haunts. Only about 30 minutes, compared to 45 minutes to an hour.

We talked about heading up your way for the haunt next year, Neal. We will likely trek up on a Friday, and when done make our way to Western NY.

Now it's time to start figuring out what my new "headunit" will be in the truck. Luckily my wiring wasn't completely destroyed, but I am considering going to a tablet or something for my head unit now so it can be easily removed.
