Get that thing under control Matt. I have some distant relatives in the mountains that have been living with diabetes for as long as I can remember.

Hey ihop,

I'm buying a new truck. I have narrowed it down to an f150 4x4

For about the same price I can get the turbo v6 or 5.0L v8

Gas milage is almost the same and I use a company gas card anyway. I plan to tow some here and there but the specs look very close. Any thoughts on which engine I should get?

V8 > turbo 6 in general. If all factors are the same including mpg.

And the coyote 5 liter can get a lot of powa from a fee bolt ons if you are into that. We know the V6 can get more power too but the tune may cost you a warranty. More moving parts mean more headaches..... and if you still want a turbo.... well you can just add one later!!!!

V8 turbo > v8 na > 6turbo

:-D

Ryan might be the best reference for engine info for Fords. :)

Gots me teh diabeetus.

Boo.

A1-C was fucking stratospheric.

So sorry. I lost my father to it. Thankfully, medicine is much better today. We are pulling for you. :)

We know so much more. It is still just insulin and metformin really.... I get the metformin and lisinipril(sp) to protect the kidneys.

Hopefully with weight gone and daily exercise I can get so I don't need meds at all. The extra insulin sensitivity and lowering of my BP will help A LOT with stress and my muscles recovering from the gym.

This disease scares me more tha just about anything and now that I know I have it I am way way less afraid than I was.

I'm leaning towards the v8 anyway. Turbo with flowmasters just isn't the same. Mod motors are not the sound as the old 5.0s either. I loved my old 5.0 with 40 series.

Wow Matt sorry to hear this, but I hope as you continue getting healthy this current sugar issue goes away.

Steve you will like the V8 much better in the long run for what you are doing. The V6 is a great motor for someone who is going to use their truck as a daily truck and very little work, kinda like me.

this would be so bad ass to haul the lincoln around to far shows

That would take a little practice to learn how to drive. Pretty sweet though.

It is better than a confirmed RA diagnosis.

Definitely.

99% of my shit isn't important, but it's still nice to have a place to talk about it.

You guys are all crazy. I'll put my little Turbo 6 up against any V8 or V10 and stomp the hell out of it.
