That's cool, Neal. There is a local steam show here as well, but I have never been. I may have to go this fall.

We go every year and have been going for as long as I can remember. I love seeing my pap in all his glory and spending time with him.

Fresh apple cider and applebutter in the frige for later.

I fucking LOVE fresh applebutter. We go to Guilford Mill to get ours fresh in the fall. Color me envious.

That is cool an old grist mill is always fun to visit.

Just had some on toast and it was yummmy!

You are more than welcome, you want directions?

Plus you can hang at the haunt, which has been on the down low. Pics may pop up at some point.

article deleted due to it's size.

For every article there is an equal and opposite article. Thank God for the intrawebz!!!

Not trying to piss in your Cornflakes, but soy isn't really a risk I am willing to take, especially at my age. If it has estrogenic compounds, I'll just steer clear, personally.

So you don't eat American beef or lettuce either? I could list other things, but that's a start

Estrogen levels in beef is not like a highly concentrated protein powder. Also, the levels in the fat are more concentrated, not in the muscle mass. As a lean meat eater it is not like I injest highly concentrated soy proteins.

Lettuce? What is this lettuce you speak of?

You aren't a rabbit?

Too bad, their sex life is sweet.

Alright long, but fun weekend. My grandfather lives for the Steam show and I figured I would share some pics I took.

He should put WMSTR in rollag on his calendar for next year. At least 50 steam traction engines and a TON more non tractions.

Ironically, I was going to mention this as I saw halloween candy and decorations out today. Was wondering where some new photos of the new place were.

And you find a 20+hp Minneapolis steamer in any condition that WILL healthily pass MN boiler inspections and I've got $20K+ i'm willing to "waste" on it.

If it's a double tandem compound I'd probably stupidly double that number.

But being there were only 7 built and all destroyed the only one currently in "existence" I've driven and it's not for sale. If you find the others and they pass MN cert, I'm BUYING.

Pap is in his 80's and does not get around so well, but I am sure he would love checking that out. If he could.

It sure would be an EPIC trip, it takes 3 trips to get all the tractors to this show and we haul 3 at a time.

He would never go to a show like that without atleast one of his tractors. This year he had 7 in the field and 2 in the pulls.

Pulling a single one wouldn't be so much work and I can help make sure he can walk it in so that he can use it to drive around the grounds. It will take him more than the 4 days to see everything and he'll want inter-grounds transportation. Seriously ridiculous amount of things to see.
