Went looking for some replacement pants today and still couldn't find shit to fit me. 36 waist and thick legs when the everything is centered around men with legs as thick as my forearms.

What the scrawny hell?

I'm sure its horrible there. I am just bitter from nearly killing some cyclists who do the same leapfrog maneuver you were talking about. When the cars are moving they act like a car, and demand space, then when traffic stops they act as a pedistrian. And the worst is when they move between cars that are stopped or ride through intersections that have red lights while in a late of automobile traffic.

I don't want to hurt a cyclist, but if my expedition hits one at 20, and transfers that much energy to them, the blunt force trauma will be insane. It's kind of like working on a construction site. You give the big dangerous machines respect. Somehow cyclists act like they don't need to take any part in the cooperation on the road.

MN does have the most bike friendly laws in the US and the most trails too from what I understand. It's so sad that it gets abused. It makes me feel like its just a matter of time before I squish someone that decided to ride through a red light. Some of these fools ride in winter too.

I just get mad when they ride on narrow roads with no bike lanes, and aren't far over.

To add to the frustration, a very good buddy of mine called me a few hours afterwards and told me he crashed his bike a week ago. Some driver made a left turn in front of him, no turn signals, no warning, nothing. Ended up with his right hand through the window and he needed a few stitches.

Same thing happened to my brother in Austin, Texas. 45 mph collision. Fucked up his leg for life. Sued the shit out of the guy.

Glad to hear your friend walked away!

Its a gun. A 1911 will run flawlessly if kept in the original form and not with nutso tight tolerances, you start straying from that and you will have issues. A XD, Glock, HK, insert quality firearm will not have problems if kept maintained and quality ammo fired through it. Sure, everything has problems, but most people never put more than say 1000 rounds through one.

Also, if you are new to pistols, no way in the world would I spend 1k+ on one. Buy something cheap and reliable, like a used Gen2 Glock, and spend the rest on ammo and training, not just going bang down at the range or into a dirt pile, something that'll teach you and show you what needs done. THEN after you have a foundation of knowledge, minimum of 1k rounds, go about selling, buying, and getting items modified.

I am not new to pistols, but new to owning one. I have several rifles so i understand firearm maintenance. My university has a pistol club and for two years I've shot for 3-4 hours a week. Easily 150 rounds a week for about 60 weeks. I'm looking for a large caliber target pistol. Like everything else, i like things that are a little unique. I was interested in the USP Tact, and when i held it at the store it just felt like it fit me.

I essentially got the answer i was looking for. Just wanted to make sure there was nothing to worry about or anything special regarding strange maintenance that I didn't find online.

Also the issue is I've always, always wanted the Tact. Just never felt like throwing the cash down. So i feel like if i don't buy it now, i just will later. One of those inevitable things you know?

Thanks for the responses guys :)

For bullseye pistol you will drop probably a minimum of 3k on a 1911. For a gun to carry/do classes with, a bullseye gun isn't what you want.

Sadly, respect for anything on 2 wheels here is below the level of the Dead Sea. I was pleasantly shocked to see the level of respect in York.

If there was a word stronger than loath, despise, or hate it would come close to how I feel about pedal bikers on the roads here in MN.Most inconsiderate, do what they want, over protected group of shit fuck ass tards out there. I'm sure you don't break the laws and endanger yourself like they do, but here their protection from doing wrong is so far out there.I'm mad just thinking about them.:-D

I am not one of those although I bike. That being said I've been hit by a car twice.

Riding 4 side by side is gay, inefficient and ruins the sport. Tuck in a line and stay in the bike lane or REALLY far over.

I went looking at one last week. A lot smaller than I thought they'd be. I wanted to test drive one this week, but time has not allowed.

I do not have any interest of carrying the Tact. If i do, it will simply be an open carry in extremely rare situations.

Awesome, post your thoughts when you do. Looks like it could be a fun little car at a decent price.

What is 4 side by side? If there is a lane and they are not in it, it makes me upset. If there is no lane, and they want to keep up with the flow and can, fine, I can try to tolerate them then too.... But the ones who pass all the cars between car lanes at a stop..... Or blow red lights/stop signs..... I know how much it sucks to slow down only to speed back up. It is hard. And yes thank you for saving the environment blah blah blah. When that driver smashes you because you went straight in the right turn lane to get around someone or blew a red light its not just over for you. That driver will have to live knowing what happened.

Makes me mad.

Lol

I get pissed about weird things.

Interesting look. I see some miata, some RX-8, and some BMW Z car.

I cannot tell if I like it or not.

Yep, fraternal of course.

They look identical to me. The STI version is supposed to have an extra 100 horses.
