Why protein has such high satiety

Food intake can be modulated through mu-opioid receptors (MORs, which also bind morphine) on nerves found in the walls of the portal vein, the major blood vessel that drains blood from the gut. Specifically, stimulating the receptors enhances food intake, while blocking them suppresses intake. Investigators have now found that peptides, the products of digested dietary proteins, block MORs, curbing appetite. The peptides send signals to the brain that are then transmitted back to the gut to stimulate the intestine to release glucose, suppressing the desire to eat.

Just did some quick tire shopping for my mothers Mountineer. Even though the OE Michelin rubber was pretty decent, they did not make it to 40k and were not that great in the snow due to uninterrupted grooves in the tread.

Took this week off from work to do an install for a friend, as a favor return. 2 days to go and the whole car is wired, tweeters and midbasses are installed.

The current to-do list:

Mount the amplifiers and connect them,

connect the car-puter

install 3" mids in the A-pillars

install 7" touchscreen in the dash

reinstall interior panels.

Sadly no time for testing, tuning and painting or wrapping the fiberglassed parts.
