Smoking a salmon fillet on the grill. Looks so good!

Mmm.

Only way I enjoy salmon.

So I 'm going with some undergrads tonight to help them tune on their turbo Miata Grassroots car.

Unfortunately for them their VP with the NIStune software is MIA and they need to get the car running better pronto. They are running about 10 on their AF and suffer severe bogging and flooding when letting off the throttle. They are going to try to do some tuning without the computer by changing boost pressure and stuff. Any tips that I should give them? From what I know it seems like they are just rich overall and are not backing down the full enough on decel. So to me it sounds like something that they will need to tune the ECU for, but if they are willing to try whatever it takes and I get to see the possible carnage then I'm game :P, but I figured I would help as much as possible.

What EFI, what program, and need more specifics.

Cold smoke? Something I've always meant to do is to try to figure out the 60deg smoke.

just picked up a DEH-PRS880 for 150 bucks shipped.

Woo!

That's absurd. This time last year they were still $300.

Matt, going to mock a sub box some time next week if you want to laugh.

Gotta yank the old one out to even know what I have for space and then going to build a cardboard one so I can go sub shopping.

I might measure any boat gain there is first as it would REALLY help in the enclosure design, but not sure how I can simulate the final install well enough to bother. Going to "load" the sub against the hull and the current one isn't. If I can just twist the box then fine, but otherwise not sure what to do. No frequency analyzer at the moment, so I'll be the guy with the $3k mic and a volt meter, ROFL.

I thought you could import cad type models. into leap? Although all the work of modeling the hull and enclosure may be super tedious

Scotch tape over them, or if black out, electrical tape.

That was my thought, hopefully it doesn't create a heat concern.

Sean, Testors model enamel will hide the LEDs. I've used it before when lighting plexi.
