I'm just frustrated that when I don't need an audiophile part that is all that is available. ROFL.

Okay that makes more sense.

Take it to a nail saloon to get it soldered. That stereotyping?

My food poisoning last week was the flu. Tanner & the w got it. sad.png

Yeah, It started off as cramps, it seriously felt like someone had punched a hole through my stomach and was just clenching my organs. Cramps have gotten better but holy shit my whole body and head hurts.. -.-

Exactly how I felt.

picked up some tums and some sprite, I feel some what better.

Made some steaks again tonight using the same method (and ribeyes) as the last time I made them. I'm 99% sure I have found the base to my "perfect" recipe.

I let the ribeyes get really close to room temp while in there vacuum sealed container. Pulled them out and added salt about 40 min before and pepper right before.

Let the propane "turkey fryer" blast at the cast iron for a while. 1.5 min on side 1, flip to side 2 and cut heat to half, then completely off after a min. Pull steak off at 5 min (total) [i did 6 this time but my steak could have been cooked less].

Perfection. The crust is so freaking tasty, I could have cared less that it was slightly over cooked because it was so damn good.

Best part about this recipe is the equipment is cheap. Get a cast iron (best skillet I have by far, use it for everything now) and a propane burner and your in business.

I need some plastic tools with really sharp endings to pull apart my transformer prime. I would be ovay with not having to mod some random tools.

ideas?

You always go overboard and make shit so much harder than it has to be. faintthud.gif

No way to do this easily....unless you spend a SHIT ton of cash.

One option CAN make this easier, it's mono smile.png

Wasn't the point of the minidsp to make it cheap?

Switch the timing for when you salt and pepper.

Salt pulls moisture. You want it long enough to make the meat sweat, but not to dry it out. Pepper flavors, so longer is better.

Before salting make sure to dry them extremely well.

Cheap with future flexibility. And yes, it's pissing me off. A $10 pot would be fine, but $50. FUCK.

Allow me to respond in kind.

Been busy. The new job is really eating a lot of my time, but the pay is killer. Plus they give me a car every night and pay for my gas.

I did not realize how good moonshine was. Very smooth and it is kicking my ass! This might hurt tomorrow, I guess I will find out!

You don't need your eye's do ya? ;)

THE HOPPA

I speak south side Boston translation:

'The Hopper is full, we need to empty it"

My mothers side is 1/2 NY, 1/2 Boston, so I can translate fairly well. ;)

Curious if you have any quad pot or VCA recommendations too btw. Everything that seemingly used to be available isn't anymore. Arrgh.

Well if other things have not blinded me, I think I will be ok with a little shine. :)

Putting anything on a ribeye is a sin in my eyes. You are ruining it even with salt and pepper.Doh.gif
