Looking at building a small two way setup for my computer room.

You don't want the Excel's then. NOT at all friendly for passive crossovers. Nastiest breakup mode i've ever heard. Killer when dialed, but as an early step building a 2 way with a mid that can only play to 1.2kHz and starts to get nasty fast isn't something I'd recommend.

Have you thought about just using a pre-design or are you going to go through with measurements and design your own?

I've been looking around at a few pre designed options. I would rather go that route. Purchase/ build something that is proven to work well.

Truck is back to normal. Now if the people who say they are coming to look at would just show up and buy it!

Then you get to 86 both my Seas as options. The RS180/RS28 have proven designs though. Modula MT would be sweet.

Hadn't noticed his other posts, but his thread shows he's SERIOUSLY confused. Oh my god, I've never seen such a random collection of things that together will seriously sound like shit.

Sean, how many enclosures are you planning on?

6 if you count the horns, but those won't be in matching enclosures. Hell, have no idea what I am going to do for those at all yet. Have to pick a horn body first. :P

im not sure what fourm he came from.. but i can take a wild guess and bet im right... i just wish he would go back... his WORTHLESS remarks and input are unneeded. he speaks about things he has NO FUCKING clue of, and speaks of it as if its 100% truth.

For the boat? 4

Hmm, that's a lot of work if you went the fiberglass route.

Perhaps something on mcmaster carr will work.

I figured a cylinder would be the best. I need around .6-.7 cuft. 10" diameter ~13-14" long. Birch cap on both ends and bam.

Love all the ideas. Thanks guys. Completely open to more. PVC is winning atm smile.png

What about those cheap small stainless trash cans? Brace the inside with wood. Build your baffles and glass and you're good to go.

The issue with sonotube is both sides are waxed and you have to get through that before painting or glassing. Actually they weather quite well as long as you seal the edges. They can sit outside at jobsites for quite some time before being affected..

Stainless would be sweet. Have you seen some for sale somewhere?

Big Lots, etc. . .

Why not just build one large enclosure out of FG?

If the overall height doesn't become an issue then this sounds like it would be way easier. Plus it wouldn't have to be as deep.
