It's harder to write a good resume than a Masters Thesis so approaching that in a class perhaps wouldn't be such a great thing.

Depends on who is at the defense. :P

So it seems I am one of only 50 or so men at this.

What? Car show? The hell?

The car show starts at 12, so I am currently the bag boy for the wife. It seems these ladies can't handle a good fart. The wife just walked away.

I vacuum seal for the freezer whenever I cut up a prime rib into rib-eye's. They are good to go, no freezer burn. Same as they come to most resturants. After growing up on elk and deer meat that sat in the freezer for years though, I am pretty picky in my older age.

That thing sounds sweet :D

I'll have to make a vid of the Jeep's exhaust, for a 4 cylinder diesel it doesn't sound half-bad under load :)

Pretty curious to hear it with a VNT turbo.

I don't get any reflections with this setup. Thanks to driver selection and mounting location I honestly only eq down a smidge at 2k hz. I think this is more due 2k being the freq we are most sensitive to than anything. As Sean said don't plan on the eq being part of the install as it is there to dial in after install. Boost should only be used for a big dip in the FR.

You get reflections :P

Not audible at my ref level. :D

Err, then you are seriously a god of EQ. Of course reflections don't have a "sound" but interfere. Pretty hard to "hear" them at any level, just their effect.

I believe he means it sounds good to him and he can't tell.

I know, just since Stefan is pounding through configuration after configuration and reading about vertical cues, azimuth response and other acoustic phenomena I don't want him to get too distracted. I have no doubt the Honda sounds stellar. I love the driver locations, aiming, etc. Jealous by a lot in fact as its nearly an ideal setup.

I am not saying there isn't refections, just not to an audible degree. Stefan is running an 18" sub in the car so I feel he honestly won't have any problems with minor interference is what I was trying to convey. As far as driver placement I think he is on the right track by testing. Definetly don't forget to try different phasing. Especially if you are seperating the drivers.

I would hope you approve of my setup Sean, as you helped me set it up and choose the drivers. :)

Don't base anything on the fact that I have an 18" subwoofer lol.

Its basically off part of the time, or up all the way with no regards to a balanced fr. In fact later down the road I intend in getting my monies worth out of my fancy alt that took way too long to get. But this is an entirely different goal set.

I have a rivet gun. :P

I believe they were refering to the nut rivets Stefan. They are a threaded insert, and with the stepped drill bit you are pretty safe as to not puncture anything unforeseen.

After doing some testing, I started glassing my apillars for tweets. Ill probably try that for a week, then try the kicks again and see what I like best. Fiberglass materials don't show up for another week.

I hear you, my BTL is only on like half way most of the time. Point being is if the reflections aren't audible then make them less of a deciding factor. I think once you get everything dialed in you will be happy with the sub on at all times. IF you are truely going for true music reproduction you will want sub freq's as well.

Basically off equates to high attenuation. Enough on the bottom end to be present, but not overwhelm or drown out the midbass, and etc.

If I play the sub at full tilt, the imbalance really bugs me. Which is why I don't do it often, but sometimes I crave loud bass and have to deal with the annoyance lol.

Play improvision by ron tutt. I play it with the exodus', and have the sub basically off. Perfect example of that article.

I personally HPF my sub @50hz and LPF my midbasses @32hz. Once T/A'ed and phased correctly The blending makes the sub sound like its coming from the midbasses. food for thought.
