Been listening to Primus all day, and watched the us version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo at the theater (already seen the original versions). Still enjoyable.

Dirt biking in the morning, try not to fall asleep when celebrating new years. :dancing:

saw the movie, I liked it a lot.. hated the ending..

SO Sean you're back now?

it suppose to be "warm" today so i plan on changing the valve gaskets finally! righty tighty, lefty loosy, right?

question, should i look over anything while i have the valve cover off?

also need to replace the front driver side window regulator. i lost both rear window regulators over the summer, fixed those with a 2x4 stuck under the window inside the door.

I went to the Toyota dealership yesterday to get some of their antifreeze. The guy at the parts window ask my why I would not let them do this for me under the maintenance agreement and I nicely reminded him the last time they did service work for me they cut one of my tires pulling off the lift. They did replace the tire, but never told me about it when I picked my 4runner up.

Only after I noticed a brand new tire (which stuck out like a sore thumb) I walked back in and then shit hit the fan! The parts guy says that was you? Yup and that is why I get what I need at your cost and do the work myself!

Doesn't sound that bad to me considering they replaced the tire, however the tread wear would be different then all the others and that may cause some slight steer / brake issues? (which I could agree would suck, if that's the case) :ughdunno:

We've had great luck at one jeep dealership, actually being able to go in the back and talk to the same mechanic that worked on everything we brought in (bugged the service rep but he wasn't about to piss us off and have us take all our work for three vehicles away to another shop).

Then got reamed at another dodge dealership, called the jeep dealership we normally dealt with, asked for our service rep, asked him if their dealership was related to the other one, said yes, told him if he didn't fix things then he would lose us as a customer. After that and us bringing in our own parts, the bill nearly halved.

It's the principle Stefan. If they are dishonest about the tire, what else will they be dishonest about?

You don't have another local dealer to visit?

I have very strong principles in life and sometimes that is not a good thing to have or so I have been told.

I have one east and west, both of which are 30 miles either way. Fairfield is the dealership that brought my 4runner into PA. The other dealership is Joel Confer which I have visited, but their CS leaves a lot to be desired.

The tire was the same brand, but different series. That is why it stuck out. Reread and I missed that in the post, sorry.

CS is very important to me because that is what I do for a living.

At work I perform a maintenance service and at the haunt I perform an entertainment service.

I see the point, but first considered since they did replace the tire then no harm was done, but now Nem says it was a different series. So I can agree, I'd much rather have them be 100% up front about everything.

I've been pretty fortunate in having a volvo specialty shop in town, guys are laid back, and honest.
