I'm class 3 non deployable right now due to a root canal that was fractured by a corn nut..

Luckily it didn't hurt.. lol

Don't like it. Too much mash. If you're gonna do it, stick with one model year. It's disproportionate and the clay just looks nasty.

I kind of like it...

Speaking of Mustangs, what is a ballkpark price for a 67-70 in fair condition, with a v8 ? 289, 302, 351, whatever is right for the year it was made :)

Fair condition is such a loose term. Expect to pay at least $20K for something you can drive.

Fair condition as in not a rust bucket. Some rust doesn't scare me too much. A possible engine rebuild also doesn't scare me.

Theres a reason they have a nickname 'rustang' and make sure to stay away from anywhere that uses salt.

This is mostly a near future thing, since I always wanted a muscle car. After checking with the local DMV, in order to be registered as a historical vehicle, it needs to have stopped production for over 30 years, be mostly stock, which means owning one is a possibility. No registration tax, no road tax, just minimal insurance...

For an antique tag over here it has to be 35 or more years old, then stuff gets cheap.

Historic / antique is the only way something over 2.5L is not ass rape in taxes.

I checked how much it would cost to register a 90-92 XJ with the 4.0....around $7000. Just for registration.

I was just wondering when the new icon was going to be released, then later yesterday the announcement was made. :drink40:

What's this "Spiral Cooling", sounds fancy. Is the pole vent "rifled"?

I will probably picking up the new icon for my car. Just need to figure out the biggest woofer I can fit in the rear deck.

Sweet. I'd be stoked to have the previous icon, and now a new one, super cool stuff.

Just started laying everything out for the rear cargo area: http://cargocollective.com/ssh#2251349/2011-Stereo-Rebuild

Good stuff Stefan. I think it would be awesome if you fiberglassed an enclosure behind your driverside rear wheel well, opposite of the battery. What size woofer were you thinking?

15" or 18" sealed. So that idea is out. I'm probably going to have the enclosure behind the rear seats, then the amps on the floor closest to the hatch. Just have to see how high the amps will sit and if I want to upfire and fire back. :dancing:

Oh and Alerion enclosures is local, so I'm having them build it, hehe.

If I needed lots of room I would definitely go that route, and would be fun.

Ok, what's with the reverse polarity deal here? What is the benefit? I'm guessing I would have to wire the 5100r different from the 5100 when running it as a second battery? So the black is actually the +, and the red is actually - ? Is the point in this so you can wire it in series?

O.o

Thanks Aaron. I found it! I did give it a college try, just wasn't looking in the right tab. :D
