Welcome to the IHoP

I have been looking at this http://www.primogrill.com/products.html# and plan on checking out the BGE this weekend.

Nothing at all wrong with the Primo, basically the same darn thing. I would tend to lean towards a shape though that allows you to use BGE accessories as the following is larger. Price wins though.

Sean your pizza crust recipe is sticky shit...smells great though...now it can mellow out in the fridge overnight...

It won't be sticky tomorrow and shouldn't have been that bad after a long kneading.

putting something together for my bro for under a grand.. (change of plans m5, sold him on used gear)

alpine 9855 - ebay 200 - 225

kicker zx250.2 - ebay 115

kicker zx100.2 - ebay 80

sundown sa-8 x2 - refurb (forum) - 85 each (probably another 20 shipping) - total ~200

speakers - im thinking sls 6.5 and Fountek FR88EX 3" fullrange - 150

total - 770, leaving 230 for deadening, wiring (already have some power wire for big 3)

sub amp already bought - approximately 1k @ 2ohm, 1.5k @ 1ohm... probably run 2 sa-8's at 2ohm to leave room to add another later if he likes.

fucking sentra 80amp alt and probably a tiny battery upfront so running more then 1k probably wont go well. reason for the 8's is that he doesn't want a big box in the trunk like he had with his L7 15".

probably could do better on the front stage amps. not sure about speaker selection either... i've done sls 8 and peerless 3 and that sounded pretty decent. gotta take some measurements of the door but im definitely not getting some sls 8's in there lol. maybe dayton mids, they are a bit shallower iirc.

Don't be sorry, be happy. Makes WAY more sense. :) :) :)

I like pretty much everything...except if you have the space, why not a single sub with more cone area. The 8 boner I don't understand unless of course it is for space reasons. Generically speaking a larger cone is always better. And that was generic as space is the dependent factor. This is coming from a guy who had a sealed 8 in his truck and had plenty of bass, I just didn't need more, but with space (which I had, but I diverge) I'd choose a bigger cone area always. Obviously two gives you some of that, but also changes the box. Sort of like buying two small pizzas or one medium. When you do the math usually the bigger one wins. As for the divergence, I wanted the 8 for a longer term project in doors, so thought lets give it a shot.

You asked Sean but I'll put in my .02.

If I make a traditional crust I hand crush anything that is just a bit "over ripe". Roma, grape/cherry are what I use. If it's winter ..... well...

Unless it is garden fresh, canned is better at ANY time of the year. Exception being of course the hydroponic ones from the coop. They ruin my tomato budget though as I eat at least $10 worth a week.

Yup I used the canned when I can't get fresh, but with canned I puree them.

Balls, think I'm going to have to drop this mini-mester course; course entails 28 essays, 2 live "culture event" reports (no taped performances, must be live), one "hero movie" report, and a final exam in a two week time span. I've had worse but I'll be in Lubbock for a week helping out my sister so I don't see this working out too well.

Help please.

I need a calendar/date book. Has to be tough and quality.

For my new responsibilities I need to break my day up and get some priorities. I want to get this electronically but I will also need something instant when I don’t have time to change it in my phone/online. It needs to be really professional oriented, but open enough to put personal appts in it also. I don’t know what exists out there, and I don’t have time to start searching completely without some form of direction. Any tips?

I'm on the win mob tip right now, however, I really would like a less smart smart phone and a tablet. No clue how that will work out. Having a "day planner" though would consolidate my calendar and give me a package to hold all my small tech. As in Ipood, headphones, all the little cables etc. Right now they just swim in my work bag.

If it HAS to be paper, go to FranklinCovey, they will have ever possible option. I would personally think carefully over the detail you will need as the more at a glance the better, but only if it still holds what you need. Autosyncing Outlook calendar and phone is what I use, but I find that easiest since I am in Outlook or on my phone 100% of the time. Redundant calendars typically fail so pick paper OR electronic, I wouldn't try both unless you are extremely diligent in how you transfer information.

And I'd go to a store and look, not use the internet. Not sure I'd buy there as they are god awful expensive but effective. Can also shop there and buy online. DOH

Sean, do you use red sauce on your pizza or the more traditional way with just tomatoes?

Depends on how you define red sauce. Mine would consist of Italian canned tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil and salt. Sometimes mixed on the crust, sometimes mixed ahead.

I normally put some San Marzano tomatoes, a little diced mirepoix, olive oil and salt under a broiler, deglaze with a splash of vodka (or wine or gin), puree in a blender, adding herbs, salt and pepper as necessary.
